Combine gaming PC's with HEPA air filters

They move a lot of air, due to limited filters.

Put a bigger filter on and it will struggle a bit more.

Already been done. There was a full case that did this before. It was assumed at users needing an actively cooled pc in a workshop type environment that normally have to be fanless to avoid killing themselves with dust/dirt.

It's not done commonly because it's not required, destroys cooling/noise performance and requires more space.

Lol it 'works' by default. All the dust that builds up in your PC could have been floating in the air and getting into your lungs, but now it's not. Probably more-so if you have those cases with the built-in filters.

The problem is these filters need high static pressure to work and many PC fans just won't cut it without a huge penalty.

I do love the idea though, my tower somehow seems to have created a rug everytime I clean the mesh filters.

Yoink a fan from a rack-mounted server, or from a 100G+ switch. Those things are freaking jet engines.

And be sure to grab some ear plugs from tje dispenser on the wall. Always use proper PPE. 👌

Think of it more as a pc inside an air filter, than the other way around. But yeah

And what would we gain from that?

Plus we would need way more fans, or way more powerful ones, as HEPA filters block large amounts of air.

You can buy HEPA filter cloth and tape.

I use it to keep my mushroom growing clean of mold. If it will stop spores it'll keep you gaming rig clean

It's not even expensive
