My cars dash, radio, ac, wipers, and headlights. Only work if the key is in a VERY specific place and every bump knocks it out. What is the issue and how do I fix it?

Might be the switch/lock cylinder in the column; might be a connection further down. Most towns have a mobile guy who rebuilds columns for body shops (theft recovery repair and tilt component repair were in high demand a decade or so ago); that guy may be your hero. Check online and call a body shop or two.

The electrical switch called the ignition switch in the steering column is worn out. Replacing it is an adventure, because it’s designed to be tamper-resistant. It may cost a few hundred dollars to get it done right.
