You've never been to the Isle of Man, have you? Every time I've been there there's been an abundance of cars - so many that parking can be a real problem.
The P50 was made in the Isle of Man & sold throughout the UK - the one in the video is an old Nottingham registration.
IIRC it basically uses a 50cc pitbike engine. I'd kinda like to find one and swap a Daytona Anima 212cc pitbike engine into it and see what happens. It'll likely end in a closed-casket funeral, but it'll be fun up until then.
Nothing really prepares you for just how small these are in real life. I saw one just a few days ago and you could easily fit three or four of them side-by-side in one lane without risking anyone's paint jobs.

My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead and that’s the way I like it
Hatedpriest@reddit
40 rods is about 1/8th of a mile.
A hogshead is 63 gallons, I believe, feel free to correct me.
504 gallons per mile...

I guess Abe Simpson has shit cars
ttadam@reddit
How many of these actually made? Was it known or popular back in it's own time?
HughJorgens@reddit
It was only made for the Isle of Man, not the rest of the country. They are legal to drive there though, as you can see.
ttadam@reddit
Oh okay, So it never meant to be an alternative.
HughJorgens@reddit
No. Real cars weren't allowed there.

They do “what’s the visibility on kids from a F150” they should do it with this “car”. You’d be crushing it before you knew it

I get the impression it may not be the best choice for winter driving on the highways. 😉

I got to drive one of those a few summers ago. It was more of a conversation starter than transportation, though

But it’s so convenient!
