So I recently got a that gpu that uses one 12pin to power and in the box have a adapter 12pin to 2x8 my psu : Be Quiet Pure Power 12 M 750W Full Modular 80 Plus Gold 3.0
I was using copilot to tell me what I have to do to avoid problems cause I heard of melting cables etc , it suggested to use 2 separate 12pin to 8pin cables to connect them to the gpu
But
My gpu doesn't come with a second cable only one 12pin to 2x8pin Daisy cable and finding a cable to buy is impossible and my psu has 2 pcie slots one called pcie and the other pcie 5.0 600w so my question is can I use that one Daisy cable alone without any problems ?

I have a Zotac 5070ti. You do not need two cables. It pulls 300w max. You’re well within the max load capacity of a single cable.

Thanks for the info :)

Connect that cable to your GPU directly, you don't need to use your adapter.

Yeah the thing is the psu have pcie 12pin sockets and I got a 12pin that comes out to 2x8pin there for the adapter could be used to revert back to 12pin for the gpu

Your power supply comes with a 12-pin cable. Connect that cable to your GPU directly, you don't need to use your adapter.

Is that safe cause they ai got me scared saying it's gonna fry it

And AI is wrong here. Stop relying on it.
12pin to 12pin is just as unsafe as 12pin to 2x8pin. The 12pin adapter is the problem, and there is no way around it since your card needs it. Doesn't matter if its an adapter or not. However You can reduce the number of connections and chances for errors by reducing the number of cables and plugs, by using 1 cable instead of 2 cables and an adapter. That is the right move.

Good to know thanks

That's literally what the cable is for. Fuck AI, read the manual and engage the brain.

It just made me doubt myself and then panic hit when it said it's gonna fry it xd
