“The company said a token linked to the Ethereum cryptocurrency was drained through a forged cross-chain message after parts of the underlying infrastructure were compromised”
What the hell does that even mean? Though it was an alleged ‘secure’ platform. Anyway, one reason amongst many that I avoid crypto.

It's the encryption equivalent of making a bank believe a forged check and then running away after you cash it.
I'm honestly impressed it's not some easy operation NK probably has very good professionals to pull this off!

North Korean hackers tricked KelpDAO’s system into believing a fake message that allowed them to steal Ethereum‑linked tokens.
I guess it's like foraging a bank transfer.

I assume that my intended reaction to this is not supposed to be "based, based, based" and yet here I am.

Who knew that trusting decentralized online financial platforms with digital currency that belongs to whoever holds it, could be risky?
Block chain technology might be sexure cryptobros but user interfaces are not. 97% of all crypto thefts have been taken from decentralized finacial platforms, like KelpDAO
If you are going to play with crypto, know how to secure it.
