Greek_Bodybuilder995@reddit
Because we make their lives bitter by not letting them use the name „Macedonia“
Flying_Rainbows@reddit
Grandmas put sugar in Cola to 'stop the fizz'. Probably has something to do with it.
ZealousidealRaisin29@reddit
They put salt not sugar
Klimster777@reddit
Your family may have got the recipe wrong.
ZealousidealRaisin29@reddit
I'm not sure tbh but I think it was salt, which ever it is yeah I remember some family members doing it too
Ur-Best-Friend@reddit
That is... proper lunatic behaviour, I love it.
No-Natural2002@reddit
Wtf? That's already half sugar
Successful-Weight-44@reddit
🤣👌
Substratas@reddit (OP)
Lol wuttt? Was this really a thing? 😂
I’ve never heard of it.
This_Lion5856@reddit
This brought back memories, my grandma does this aswell
Hidrogen_Cosic@reddit
Hahahahaha, you transported me back to childhood.
Worried-Owl-9198@reddit
Bulgaria has territorial claims, Greece forced a name change, everyone is basically bullying Macedonia…No wonder they're stress eating sugar to relax, it's totally normal.
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
European country has no territorial claims it's a brainwash from Skopje not to settle it's issues as a candidate country to join the EU, so likes to stay a buffer zone between countries.
Worried-Owl-9198@reddit
I've literally heard people say they're just a race made up by the Serbs. What's your take on this?
shortEverything_@reddit
Those people are simply retards
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Serbia has historically the largest influence there, because MK was born out of the Yugos in 1945, however there is a historical continuity of MK people before that era.
However today Serbia and it's anti eu stance and hostilities to other neighbours is distancing their allies from EU too.
Worried-Owl-9198@reddit
Well, if these people have historical continuity there, then it sounds like Yugoslavia actually did a good thing. What's the problem with that?
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Bulgarians were erased from the Yugos, which had actually the largest concentrate historically especially in the Ottoman era and up until the Balkan wars and the fall of Ottoman empire in 1913, Bulgarian revolutionaries fought for the historical Macedonian IMRO. Today no Bulgarians are recognized from Skopje because of the Yugo era, and their refusal to accept.
TerranCitizen45@reddit
Bulgarians only in a medieval demonym sense, not a national sense. Czar Boris pushing Bulgarian schools and Bulgarian priests (the same thing that Serbs and Greeks did) does not a nation make.
The first IMRO fought for Macedonian autonomy, Gotse Delchev even declared that they can expect no help from anyone, including Bulgaria.
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Georgi Delchev is Bulgarian.
TerranCitizen45@reddit
He asked to be buried in a free Macedonia, and he is. He is Macedonian.
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
There is no such thing. But a Macedonian Bulgarian.
Successful-Weight-44@reddit
Oh, Boy, again Bulgarian AliExpress nationalism.
Macedonia 🇲🇰, has the remains of Goce Deltchev. You Like IT or Not.
TerranCitizen45@reddit
Yes there is. He helped create the modern Macedonian ethnicity with his fight. After all, it was the Internal MACEDONIAN Revolutionary Organization. By wanting in the end to be in a free Macedonia, he ended up a Macedonian.
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Sounds like a izrod education, normally for MK
TerranCitizen45@reddit
Your own government sent his remains over to Macedonia. And the descendants of Tzar Boris and Todor Zhivkov hardly can be called objective historians.
Worried-Owl-9198@reddit
Are Bulgarians not recognized?
kexibis@reddit
buzz off bullies
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
People with low IQ from srpski svet
kexibis@reddit
you are pushing your self further... as well as Bulgaria , continue doing that
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
I'm from MK it's the junkers country with criminal party called Vmro. You speak only on your behalf not from while country
kexibis@reddit
you are falling down to Lucifer... you are traitor
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Izrodi - is the best name for MK Vmro people and their leadership. I should not waste time
kexibis@reddit
go furder in Bulgaria and probably because most leave Bulgaria more then MK go further north
kexibis@reddit
I live in N Macedonia and I do not consume sugar, not people I work with, nor people I comunicate with
w1gw4m@reddit
I eat like 1kg per year, how is this calculated?
Outrospect@reddit
Cuz life is bitter 🤷♂️
FloppyDiskDrives@reddit
Not in the Balkans it seems. 😆
Outrospect@reddit
Rather than sweets, we like to add on to the bitterness with cigarettes, then numb it out with alcohol.
It's the Balkan way 🫡
DeckoOnReddit@reddit
Because it is sweet. What else?
ExpatHist@reddit
Belgian Waffles
wielkiWilk@reddit
Making moonshine ?
Adrian-O_o@reddit
Sugar is necessary ingredient to make the moonshine.

Because they're salty and have to balance it out
pdann@reddit
Is this the avarege of retail sugar or whole sugar industry ( with all the types of sugar it holds )?
Hefty_Jaguar4305@reddit
wow Germany do much consume sugar too...
Substratas@reddit (OP)
I wonder why…
eleutheromaniann@reddit
i think this is fake.there is an incredible amount of sugar consumption in Türkiye.
Additional-Gur7915@reddit
I'm guessing it has to do with production of sweets. I don't believe Swiss people eat that much sugar. They rather produce a lot of chocolate.
This_Music682@reddit
Baklava
Fragrant-Field-2017@reddit
Cmon!! There's no way that Turkey has lower consumption than Greece, with all those delicious syrup-y sweets they have!
Strange_Status_7690@reddit
Probably because of Alexandra Velikis
abandonedtulpa@reddit
because sugar yummy mmm
