What do i do? I want a monitor and i have a feeling that 23,8in/60,5cm monitor will be too small for story games as i mostly play those but 27in is expensive and massive which i dont really like

Not sure about how big your desk is or how much money you have, but 27" ain't that big nor that expensive imo

big desk, bigger monitor. small desk, smaller monitor. depth, not width

24” isn’t as small as you think it is and 27” isn’t as big as you think it is. It all depends on resolution and how far you’re sitting from the screen.
If your GPU can handle 1440p on the games/settings/frame rates you want, get a 27” 1440p. If it can’t, get a 24” 1080p (resolutions other than 1080p are very rare at that size anyway). Adjusted your distance to monitor as appropriate depending on what size you land on. Ain’t rocket science.

Same boat, same dilemma. What size do you currently have?
