The Point - artwork

Hi all, just wanted to share my drawing of The Point!
I always found the building fascinating every time I went to MK as a child, and it's sad now to see it abandoned and up for demolition.
I decided to give it a draw, with my own twist on it - a sort of futuristic underground continuation of the shape!

Wow, do you know what? I've never been under the Gala Bingo Hall, I've never seen under the point and this is a guy who moved her about 25 years ago
Also wasn't The Point listed?

😄
It should be listed! It looks like there were campaigns recently but they were unsuccessful unfortunately.

I hope they save The Point, it’s too iconic and nostalgic to go ðŸ˜

Not much to save tbh, it went abandoned for a reason. Better to start new.

I hope so too! It would be such a shame to lose it. It's a landmark and a piece of history!

Great concept, If you don’t mind a small bit of constructive criticism (I might be misjudging this based on the angle you’ve taken the picture but) id say that the perspective is slightly off on the bottom pyramid, The points of each pyramid should ideally lie on the same line, I may be wrong and please completely ignore this if it was intended to be that way

The photo I used for reference was at a bit of an odd angle, but you're right, my pyramid is kind of skew-whiff!
Thanks for your advice and your perspective image, that's helpful!

My first Reddit post and I wanted to use it to say how fantastic this is. Really creative!

Wow, thank you, that means a lot!!

Tremendous work, what was the inspiration for the underside?
CosmosInBloom@reddit (OP)
Thanks! The inspiration came from imagining the building having some sort of hidden alien/robotic underside. I made it look like a kind of motherboard with a bit of a Tron vibe.
