Hello I'm from India and soon will be moving to the US
Actually i love those moutains with rivers and grasslands and full of colours similar to those switzerland, austria or kashmir India
If you don't know what I'm talking about search Pahalgam or Bangus valley
Do the US have similar places ,
I didn't just mean mountain and forest like national parks but similar high contrast view
Actually our kashmir is too complicated and full of controversies so after moving to US I wanted to live in a similar place peacefully without any fear

You are talking about https://treklandadventures.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Bangus-Valley.jpg and https://rare-gallery.com/thumbs/1057504-landscape-mountains-hill-grass-green-village-valley-Switzerland-pine-trees-hut-Alps-Swiss-Alps-Lenk-Bernese-Alps-chalet-mountain-pasture-meadow-highland-rural-area-moun.jpg.
I give you https://www.reddit.com/r/EarthPorn/comments/22qu4g/beautiful_afternoon_in_tuolumne_meadows_yosemite/ and https://media.gettyimages.com/id/88953798/photo/mount-rainier-meadow.jpg?s=1024x1024 and https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/montana-rocky-mountains-28672363.jpg.
What you'll find is that the entire western US is both grand in scale, and quite dry, so it's often more brownish than lush green. But if you catch it at the right time, many of these sights are breathtaking.

I wish we had this shit out on the east coast. All our mountains are green, not very high.
It's still beautiful, though.
ujjwal_explores@reddit (OP)
Yeah true it's beautiful but it's not that striking shiny green like swiss or kashmiri
MsPooka@reddit
I think that might come down to the type of grass and the season. In spring it's more likely to have that spring green color.

The Pacific Northwest Might Be The Closest Similar Experience In The US.

Why are you capitalizing every word in the sentence?

Ouray, Colorado is called “Switzerland of America”

Kansas in sunflower 🌻 season is amazing. I accidentally drove through during the bloom once and it goes forever.

do an online survey of the many US National Parks -- indescribable beauty on a scale beyond imagining -- especially out west
Norwester77@reddit
You’d probably enjoy the areas in Washington and Oregon around Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Mount Hood, and the North Cascades.

Montana is gorgeous too

Estes Park Colorado might be what you're looking for. Also, the area around Jackson Hole, WY.
maggy_boi_x@reddit
You would love Eastern Colorado. You're just east of the Rocky Mountains, and still have an ocean's worth of tall grass plains that go from Eastern Colorado all the way into Iowa.
Porcupine-in-a-tree@reddit
Lots of places in the american west look like that
ujjwal_explores@reddit (OP)
Can you name some
Porcupine-in-a-tree@reddit
There are too many to even name. I’ll name one that’s 10 minutes up the road from me… Albion Basin in Alta, UT. But dude there are tons all over the Rockies, without even getting started on all the other mountains ranges in the western us.

Grasslands in Switzerland? Uh. No.
ujjwal_explores@reddit (OP)
I mean those greenish mountains filled with grass
The_Motherlord@reddit
Not as green and lush as Switzerland.
Alaska, yes. Parts of the Pacific Northwest, green but not as vibrant as Switzerland. California is much more washed out. More dry, sage green, not vibrant spring green. There are some vibrant areas, a meadow here and there like at Yosemite but it's not someplace you live but a place you visit or hike to.
There is lots of forest land throughout the country but it's not the same as the green of Switzerland. More of a pine green. Lots of trees but very little grass.
FondleGanoosh438@reddit
Yeah California is full of green hills and mountains with flowers. Even the more arid parts are beautiful after spring rains.

Alpine meadows

Brother you are going to flip when you find out about the Western US. Yosemite especially, but truly everywhere. Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, Montana, you could spend your whole life exploring it.
National-Pressure202@reddit
Other than the cold in the winter, you’d probably really like Alaska. I’ve been here 30+ years and still come find new trails with breathtaking views

m not an american but have lived there. Yosemite in california is too good and exactly this. m sure there's way more similar locations..
