ULPT Request: how to avoid using mandatory AI dictation software at work

I am a veterinary assistant and corporate juat announced that we will be doing mandatory training and then using an AI dictation software for appointments. Give me some ULPT to avoid this massive invasion of privacy. There are flock cameras everywhere when I drive, I dont really want all my work conversations recorded too.
Fuck AI. Fuck Big Brother.

Develop one of the following (or for maximum effectiveness, combine a couple) accents:
Drunken Scottsman, Donald Duck, Porky Pig, or Orkish.
If you can't fake an accent, make an audio recording of a bag full of cats and pepper spray. If that's too unethical, use AI to generate the sound. Have that sound looping in the background whenever you record.

My doctor uses it but he turns it on/off when he needs to
You might be overthinking this

Speak with a Welsh accent. AI can't decipher it.
ironicmirror@reddit
How quickly can you get a lisp?
Temperature-Savings@reddit (OP)
Probably pretty quick if I get someone to smack my jaw hard enough 😅
Purlz1st@reddit
Get a mouth guard at the drugstore and develop a sudden need to wear it at work.

Invisalign makes Siri get like 50% of what I say wrong some days lol
billymumfreydownfall@reddit
Ha! I just commented the same!
billymumfreydownfall@reddit
Just do like i did and pick today to get Invisalign. Instant lisp.

You can also just give it trash dictations. Use an accent, slur your words together. Pronounce “and” as “an” “the” as “tha”. Smush words together and drop syllables like “d” and “t”. AI is not great with any dictations that aren’t the “normal” California accent English.
Apprehensive_Hat8986@reddit
... the what now? Aside from the broadcast journalism accent and the ~~King's~~ Queen's English, there isn't really a normal English accent. And it's definitely not valley girl.
But yes, throw any heavy accent at the AI and it'll crumble.
burnthatbridgewhen@reddit
That’s why normal is in quotes lol. California accents is not just the valley girl up talk, there’s more to it. You just don’t hear it much because most media is literally from California, and so is tech. You hear California accents all the time, and your brain just filters it out. Consequently due to most tech companies being in California , AI is usually trained on native English speakers with a California accent. I know all this because I use dictation software for court reporting, and I live in California. There are differences in even regional California accents between Southern California and NorCal/the bay.

Can confirm. Have a speech impediment. Voice dictation HATES me.
beachbum818@reddit
Id it 24/7 dictation recording or just for charts?
Temperature-Savings@reddit (OP)
Probably just for when in rooms with clients and patients but I dont know for sure yet.
gl0ssyy@reddit
if that's the case, it's not an "invasion of privacy" if you just.. ask for consent. and they can say no. not that i like AI- i agree with your sentiment. but i don't think privacy is the problem
ThisFurryTrash93@reddit
Quit.
Shell-Fire@reddit
Unless they are paying for licenses, which is money, they are using free software and all of your notes are sent out to the public. Are you sure you're not violating anyone's privacy?
Mother-Pride-Fest@reddit
That would be called freeware, not free software.
Apprehensive_Hat8986@reddit
Not even freeware. It's a free service.
StrikeSea7638@reddit
Speak with an accent and slang. Make it fuck up the transliterations more.
zLampShade@reddit
Figure out if it has a USB C or 3.5mm jack for audio/mic. Then buy a double ended cord and plug the thing into an MP3 player. Then play something like this all day long have it recording this.

Or do a white noise sound, so it's recording "nothing" and your higher ups have no idea what's going on with the equipment. The smaller the MP3 player the better. Like those Ipod nanos or whatever that is just a clip.
Good luck
Temperature-Savings@reddit (OP)
Love this, thank you!
realdappermuis@reddit
It'll probably do that itself too - but - edit in hilariously incorrect and quite possibly fatal-consequence information afterward
You could do it with all of the first ones and then state upon review the service is actively harmful
I see some tech guys are actually photoshopping their own reports so it looks like Al summaries so that their Al-pilled bosses take them seriously :s
