What was your reaction when you found out Justin Fletcher voiced Shaun the Sheep?

Me specifically, I was partially surprised, I didn't expect Justin to voice Shaun, but at the same time, it kind of makes sense because that show is made for BBC.

One of my sister's friends slept with Justin Fletcher. That was a much bigger surprise than finding out he had voiced Shaun the Sheep
Gent415@reddit
What gender was your sister's friend? I've always assumed Justin is gay but maybe that's just a camp children's TV presenter stereotype 😅
alphahydra@reddit
I too am interested in the answer to this question. It would settle a very long-running debate with my partner.
Remote_Development13@reddit
Female!
I had him down as either gay or completely asexual myself tbh, but I was wrong
alphahydra@reddit
Wow! Okay! I was initially in the straight camp, but she had talked me round into seeing him as the archetypal flamboyantly gay national treasure entertainer.
He's Something Special alright. 😁
alphahydra@reddit
Spill it. Does he really have a spotty bag?
Gent415@reddit
👏👏👏
Successful_Ad_2888@reddit
At one point he was going for every job on CBeebies
Gent415@reddit
He seems to be involved in about 75% of the live action programmes.
Gent415@reddit
Hang on, Shaun the Sheep doesn't talk... Do you mean the baaing noises? 😂 But then Justin does do the noises for the lift in Playtime Towers 🤷♂️
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
You do realise that when a sheep (or any other animal) makes a baa, or meow, or woof, or neigh - they ARE talking, it’s just a different language to what you speak.
Gent415@reddit
Very true. But then I doubt Justin Fletcher is fluent in sheep 🤷♂️
Timely_Cake_917@reddit
Meows are operatic singing. They're just shit at it
Gent415@reddit
...and mostly translates to "Feed me bitch" 😆
Enough_Response@reddit
who is justin fletcher?
Zealousideal-Low3388@reddit
Mr Tumble
Basically the most prominent talent on CBeebies.
tiorzol@reddit
Oh snap. Go on lad. Always rated him as he seems so invested in making sure the kids have a great time on his show.
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
Jimmy Saville also used to make sure all the kids had a good time on his show… not making any accusations against Justin/Mr Tumble but your reasoning is very flawed.
Gent415@reddit
His reasoning is perfectly sound. Saville was one children's TV presenter out of thousands. So statistically Justin Fletcher is likely to be perfectly safe with children. Or is this just some predictable BBC hate thing? 🙄
tiorzol@reddit
You're a Muppet mate.
snarkmaiden5@reddit
Nice, saved me having to google. No idea
DangerousDisplay7664@reddit
“Sean the Sheep can TALK?!”
Sam-Lowry27B-6@reddit
I sort of went 'oh'
terryjuicelawson@reddit
He was also Jake on the Tweenies. And Doodles.
SirLongShank@reddit
😐
Specialist_Emu7274@reddit
I didn’t know until now but it makes sense he’s a kids show actor no? I swear Shaun doesn’t talk though
alphahydra@reddit
There are a lot of wordless vocalisations. All Shaun and his pals' baaahs and bleats, Bitzer's grunts, the farmer's mumbling, pigs' snorting and snickering, all Justin.
j0nnnnn@reddit
Complete and total indifference
TensionWarm1936@reddit
What was your reaction when you found out that 'Shaun' is a play on 'shorn' which is the past tense of 'to shear' which is how we cut off wool from sheep.
Anyway, I don't know who Justin Fletcher is so this is my reaction.
Optimistic_Pup_2018@reddit (OP)
The guy who played Mr Tumble.
EvilTaffyapple@reddit
And what is that? You’re saying this as if it’s obvious or well known.
MrDibbsey@reddit
I think for anyone who's been around kids watching telly in the last 24 years it is well known, there's 300 episodes of 'Something Special" across 13 series.
ThePeake@reddit
I haven't double-checked this but I'm vaguely aware that, pre-Mr Tumble, Justin Fletcher was also one of the Tweenies.
Squiggally-umf@reddit
I misread this as Justin Beiber for a second and was so confused
HorrorAccomplished78@reddit
I was shocked. I thought it was Ringo.
Optimistic_Pup_2018@reddit (OP)
Like Ringo Starr?
sleepyprojectionist@reddit
Because Ringo Starr used to narrate Thomas the Tank Engine.
Sleepyllama23@reddit
I didn’t know this until I read your post. My reaction? “Hm”
T_raltixx@reddit
"Who is Justin Fletcher?" Was my reaction.
I know now. I don't care.
hdhxuxufxufufiffif@reddit
No I'm not at all surprised that a popular CBBC personality voiced a character on CBBC.
Gent415@reddit
He did the films as well.
Junior_Tradition7958@reddit
I’ve just found out reading this and my reaction is who is that?
