i love asking people how they make their pb&j just to hear all the different answers and how in depth some people get with their explanations. in the 5 years of asking people this question, i’ve heard of so many different ways to put the peanut butter and jelly on the bread, and no one has ever said that they mix the two
I have this weird relationship with PB&J that I forget about it and try one then it’s all I want to eat for a week until I get sick of it then circle back three months later and repeat.
I remember being so fascinated by those striped jars as a kid, but my parents would never buy them because technically a jar of generic peanut butter and generic jelly was cheaper than a single jar of that stuff.
Stinkygoblingooner@reddit
I’ve never seen it mixed like this before. Interesting strat indeed, yes yes.
Boon1Goon@reddit
My mom would do that 🥰

i need to try this immediately
bitters110824@reddit
We used to call this purple peanut butter when I was a kid. My mom HATED it because it'd get stuck in the cups lol
TBellOHAZ@reddit
You wolfing 3x PBJs at a time? No judgment
PhatPanda69699@reddit (OP)
Yes. And thank you for not judging me. I feel like this is better than eating a whole dominos pizza
TBellOHAZ@reddit
10/10 have and would do this again. I'd also eat the pizza. Everything in moderation, including moderation.
PassTheBrunt@reddit
I’ve always thought the last part to myself spitefully when my mom sagely admonishes me w/ that classic
AshSnatchem@reddit
Idk if you meant that last part as a joke, but I love it and I’ll be using it the next time I get some ice cream.
i_am_un@reddit
Lots of protein
sunqiller@reddit
Unfortunately, peanut butter has more fat than protein and is often mislabeled as a “high protein” source
Glenmarththe3rd@reddit
Better at being worse for you? Probably Taste better? Probably for the first one and a half Look better? Definitely
Milsurp_Seeker@reddit
I’ve been on a PB&J bender for about 3 months now. You’re doing great and have wonderful taste.
Future_Tie_3382@reddit
and we all know those are the only two options we have
anon_lurk@reddit
I'm judging them because there needs to be about a gallon of milk next to that plate

Omg yessss!! I bought two loaves of Hawaiian bread and ive been eating pbjs for two days at least two times a day
CoconutxKitten@reddit
I get this way with bologna sandwiches (on toast w/ mustard), American cheese grilled cheese, & PBJ. Gives a little nostalgia kick
Saluteme@reddit
I do the same. Ill go months w/o one and then i see some fire lookin strawberry jelly in the fridge and start buggin
BaileyBaby-Woof@reddit
At least I’m not the only one who mixes it together. I just eat it with a spoon after leaving it in the fridge :p
coolsilentebeans@reddit
I do this! But I also add a little pancake syrup into the mix. It’s soooo yummy!
Mouseyface@reddit
Ooh, interesting.
I've always used a tiny splash of milk to give it a smoother consistency, cause I make this as a dip for graham crackers
coolsilentebeans@reddit
Hmmm…that’s something I’ll have to try. I already enjoy a cold glass of milk with my sammies.
I add the syrup for the same reason, ease in mixing and texture. Plus it creates a great flavor 🤤
SirMourningstar6six6@reddit
I do this a lot too. Less carbs at least lol
SmugCichlid@reddit
This a saltine crackers for a cheap dinner
rman18@reddit
Ritz crackers if you ballin
ChesterJester11@reddit
My wife has done it this way her whole life as well. It's not bad, but I feel like it kind of suppresses the freshness and sweetness of the jelly/jam.
IndependentMacaroon@reddit
Looks like it escaped your grandfather's guts
KratosOfSparta08@reddit
Similar to Goobers

Axedelic@reddit
i tried it once when i graduated to adult money as a treat. it was disgusting. artificial to the max. mom was right hahaha
i_am_un@reddit
Looks like when I make refried beans and fried bologna with pickled jalapenos and jack cheese
Spmex7@reddit
I used to do this as a kid but I just ate it with no bread
Talk-O-Boy@reddit
It feels like there is way more peanut butter than jelly. The ratio can be improved. Made better. Faster. Stronger.
No_Creme_9794@reddit
I’ve never had pb&j before
I should try it
CoconutxKitten@reddit
It’s really good. IMO, best jelly/jam is blackberry
Bitter_Hedgehog_3044@reddit
This is good, but treat honey and butter the same way and you'll be a changed person.
Zerostar39@reddit
Didn’t you post this earlier?
Cunnilingusaur@reddit
I thought it was refried beans
UnhappyBrief6227@reddit
Oh wait. You did something right there bro. Smart.
MadamVoid@reddit
Nah, I can’t support this. They have to be separate and come together like a horny couple at the club
MadamVoid@reddit
But also gimme one
myhaireatskids@reddit
actually surprised this is the first time ive seen or heard of someone doing this
Astronaut_Chicken@reddit
This is also the way my dad made it? I thought he was just weird.
poweredbynikeair@reddit
I need time to think about it
Chessapeak-play@reddit
I’ve never tried it this way but it makes sense tbh
bbonezbby_@reddit
I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE I only eat my pbjs this way
Apprehensive-Air-267@reddit
The lunch lady way
sierrabravo1984@reddit
Same in jail, all mixed together.
