I miss the days of the Larue ultimate upper kits. My Larue ultimate upper in 6.5 and Larue lower have been used extensively and it is a phenomenal gun at 1000y. That being said it was like 1300 out the door. Spending 4k would be a hard justification for me.

This went head-to-head up against the Geissele MRGG-S (MK1 MOD0) : https://www.eurooptic.com/mrgg-65-creedmoor-20-bbl-black-rifle.

And it was a very close second. The G$ costs $6300 - if it were really that close (given the stringent conditions for the SOCOM contract) then getting this at 4k is a good deal by comparison.

The people that are into guns will know what it is when they see the gun. Logos are ugly and make it look cheaper than it is

Anyone who owns a gun is technically into guns. I’d venture 75% + of gun owners are safe queens who post to Reddit “how do I get this scratch out of my ar15.” And those are the type of people who want the logo and want everyone else to see the logo.

There are dozens of business review studies showing the effectiveness of branding and creating a brand. It works

I don't disagree, but the average person buying these guns have more money than brains. People into guns will build their own AR10, people who think guns are neat and have money will buy this and want people to know what they bought. Their target audience is guys who buy Rolex for the brand, not because they like anything about the movement/design/material.
