This is a huge misconception. The amber is for people who are red/green color blind; not having an astigmatism. You either need glasses, contacts, or try a prism.

Some people see green better than red. It may seem more crisp/sharper. Also green is in the middle of the spectrum so the eye picks up green faster than red.

Just a Fair Waring. I picked up the Gold ARO i while back Since i liked the HE503R Gold so much. The ARO is not really gold but more of a yellow/green. looks like shit to my eyes compared to the HE503R. Contacted Holosun asking about it and got some AI bullshit response.

I picked up the gold ARO as well hoping it would be better than the green, but had a similar experience. It actually blooms for me MORE than the green, even though at stop lights yellow is the least glaring. I was excited to try the gold dot but I was pretty disappointed. I might have to see if someone has the 503R so I can see it in person before buying.

I can second this. I don’t know what they changed but it is a mix of yellow and green. The emitter also reflects in the glass which causes a glare at least for me.

Glad i could help. The HE503R looks like a True Deep Gold color, At least mine does. A tip that i did to check colors for the eye is to sit at a Stop light at night. and see which color looks nice to you. Its how i found out gold works for me. Especially since its hard to find gold dots in stores.
