removing auto restriction, texas license

anyone done this? are they weird about it or relaxed about things?
did they insist you double clutch? im fine doing things whatever way but like knowing what to expect/how they'll behave. i'll probly handle this in the houston area.

I got mine removed in Houston couple years ago, you do the test only in a bobtail 5-10 gears only pretty much. I haven’t driven a manual ever since though..

yeah its just.. better.. to get this shit off my license. obviously i'll have to find some guy to meet me at the dmv with his truck in exchange for some cashola. but hey, i believe in free enterprise.

I see. I am going to get my automatic license with my cdl because my goal is to drive otr for a few years. Buy a house and then get my passanger endorsement and see about being a city bus driver.
