[Handgun] NAA 22s Mini Revolver, smallest firearm you can legally buy, $202.93 plus ship

I believe this is the smallest firearm that is currently in production that you can legally buy in the US . They also make em in 22lr/22mag and of course they are a bit bigger. Debateable how useful or practical these are but they look cool which justifies $200 imo. i also think this is the lowest price I’ve ever seen for the version not including the belt buckle
TheMoves@reddit
Well now I'm curious, is there a smaller one you can illegally buy?
Tutsi9@reddit (OP)
Nice try FedBoi
I think there’s a Swiss made mini revolver that is illegal to import or own in the USA as the ATF has deemed it too small and easily concealable. Definitely logical and makes us all safer
DexterBotwin@reddit
You probably can’t import the Swiss revolver because it isn’t “sporting” under the GCA, probably nothing making it illegal to own if the equivalent was made in the US.
AdvancedLuddite@reddit
Not wrong, but a domestic copy would be illegal under the Undetectable Firearms Act which requires 3.7oz of metal in a firearm.
bubbathedesigner@reddit
So, recycled depleted uranium bullets time?
cyclorphan@reddit
until you shoot them and get 10 years on a felony conviction.
bubbathedesigner@reddit
You made me sad
Tutsi9@reddit (OP)
I believe per the ATF firearms must be made with a certain amount of material to be legal, whether domestic or foreign. I’m not 100% sure as I haven’t had interest in owning anything smaller than this but I think it would be illegal even if made domestically
DexterBotwin@reddit
Well holy Santa Claus shit, I think you’re right
Pjkli@reddit
The Life Card 22 is pretty small. Though you have to unfold it to fire.
dippenmesomecope@reddit
2mm pinfire is legal.
Tutsi9@reddit (OP)
Those aren’t considered firearms under US Federal law
dippenmesomecope@reddit
I understand but it's still a firearm regardless of legal classification.
GrandioseAnus@reddit
But it's not classified as a firearm, legally. You can call it a gun but in this context it doesn't fit the definition of a firearm.
Eric1180@reddit
This convo started off with "THE SMALLEST LEGAL FIRE ARM" so yeah for the context of this conversation, its legal classification is relevant.
dippenmesomecope@reddit
I get it, that's why I made sure to mention 2mm pinfire is LEGAL. The U.S. illegal "worlds smallest" pistol (Swiss mini gun) is pretty similar to 2mm pinfire options (I have been collecting them for years and have got to check out a few swiss mini guns).
Pjkli@reddit
Thanks for this. Now I'm googling an M134 in 2mm pinfire.
eggs_everywhere@reddit
Also, if you put a foregrip on this would the atf actually charge you?
Senzualdip@reddit
FYI these fit perfectly in the watch pocket of a pair of jeans. I have the pug in 22wmr and put it in there when I can’t carry my 365.
G17Gen3@reddit
The NAA Pug is available at the same seller for $286, comes in 22wmr, has a decent grip and disappears in a pocket holster. To each their own but I would rather pay the extra dough for the Pug.
Gecko23@reddit
I know 'bigger is better' seems like it's got some logic to it, but out of a 1" barrel, it just doesn't matter which rimfire load you're firing. The bigger the case, the bigger the fireball, but you still get a slow, inaccurate (and in my experience with a Pug) tumbling round that struggles to break clay birdies at five yards.
The 22s is the sillier choice, and good natured silly, not deluded silly like thinking there's any advantage at all to a teeny tiny revolver like these.
G17Gen3@reddit
Did you do any chronograph testing before arriving at your opinion, or were you just plinking at a clay pigeon?
Gecko23@reddit
If it wasn’t reliably breaking a clay pigeon it doesn’t matter what a chronograph says. Anemic is anemic.
nuckfewsom@reddit
I have the 22 wmr one, you can also call NAA and order a 22lr cylinder for it. It’s a pretty neat little gun, I have a pocket knife style clip on the grip. Good for pocket carry in emergencies.
G17Gen3@reddit
Do you have to send your Pug to NAA to get the 22lr cylinder fitted, or is it a drop-in?
nuckfewsom@reddit
I did have to send it to be timed. I don’t think it took more than a few weeks for them to return it.
2MGR@reddit
I really want a Pug. It's so cool.
expertninja@reddit
Okay but it’s barely more useful and this one is so teeny tiny and cute
TBoneUs@reddit
And it has sights, and is compatible with the folding grip/pocket clip, and Speer makes a .22wmr golf dot. Moves it from novelty to marginally useful firearm. I love mine. Really gets rid of excuses for not carrying.
RhinoPillMan@reddit
Inflation sucks. I paid 180 for my .22lr and 160 for my magnum. Love them, super fun guns.
TheFlyingM16@reddit
I have one of these. Accuracy is "it'll go in that general direction" and power is "you're better off throwing rocks." But it's neat and always good for a laugh when it comes out. Small enough to store in a Altoids tin.
AKsuited1934@reddit
Hol up I was literally on the fence about this but the Altoids tin will do it for me if true. Is it true? Have you done this and confirmed?
TheFlyingM16@reddit
These comments don't support pictures, but yes I can confirm.
AKsuited1934@reddit
Thank you sir, this will be the 7th meme gun I’ve purchased…5 Highpoints last Black Friday for 95 bucks a pop, the heritage rough rider 16” revolver and now soon to be this!
DrNinjaPandaManEsq@reddit
I haven't seen the 16" rough rider in forever but I would buy one in a heartbeat if it was a decent price.
JBaptiste97@reddit
Get the 16” heritage rifle revolver version. I have both and having the stock makes it much easier to shoot. Both are definitely for the lols though
Gecko23@reddit
I have one, and 22s out of the tiny barrel barely has enough energy to poke hole in clay birdies at five yards. It's like an over powered cap gun. :)
expertninja@reddit
I was pretty impressed with the accuracy, the aiming is the hardest part but I could hit a lot closer to center of the target than I expected at twice the distance (man sized target at 15 yards)
Khunning_Linguist@reddit
These are TINY! They're very interesting and was gonna buy one for shits n giggles but I can't figure out how to properly hold it with my big paws. Just felt weird.
i_hate_ketchup777@reddit
cute, but isn’t .22short a pain to source?
Scared_of_zombies@reddit
.22 short isn’t hard to source and it’s cheap.
TigerIll6480@reddit
More expensive than .22LR in most situations.
GreenEggplant16@reddit
Name one caliber that’s cheaper than 22LR
myspamhere@reddit
50 BMG
bowtie_k@reddit
No. I own two .22 short firearms and it's readily available online and every store I've been to that sells ammo. It's like twice the price of .22LR though, expect to pay about 9cpr.
These guns suck ass to shoot though, I'd be shocked if someone went through more than 10-20 rounds in a range session.
RandoAtReddit@reddit
No.
FlapperGasfire@reddit
No
bismarcke@reddit
I've seen a decent selection at my local Bass Pro
i_hate_ketchup777@reddit
good to know
mavric91@reddit
Just cut down some 22lr??
lordlymight@reddit
I have the 22LR version and it is a safety nightmare. It's silly and slightly adorable, but carrying it is not all that different from carrying "just a lil bit" of nitroglycerin.
Be safe my friends
PickleNutella@reddit
I remember seeing someone on Ebay selling full-size Colt SAA grips for these revolvers a few years ago
No idea if they still do, can probably make your own these days.
Stoked_Otter@reddit
I want a Colt Python scaled down to fire 22 short. I don't care if I won't be able to fit my finger in the trigger guard, I'll pull it with a string or something.
Evil_Creamsicle@reddit
This implies that there are smaller firearms I can illegally buy.
krismasstercant@reddit
The Calibri is smaller and legal.
WhatAboutTheBothans@reddit
I'm so tempted to as just a gag
Wunktacular@reddit
I've got a ,22lr and a ,22wmr. They're genuinely fun to shoot, we play "darts" with them.
Thisfoxtalks@reddit
Someone pitch’s in the money, I’ll get one an go shoot a match with it
Wide_Fly7832@reddit
The ammo has been tough to get. I have one 22S gun but don’t find ammo commonly.
Dak_Nalar@reddit
What about those belt buckle derringers that PSA sells?
Tutsi9@reddit (OP)
Same brand/guns, just include the belt buckle. If you don’t want the belt buckle and just plan on using it as a range toy/collection piece, this saves you some $. The gun/concept is really a novelty anyway
Dak_Nalar@reddit
ah gotcha did not know the belt buckle one was a revolver too
ratchman5000@reddit
Purse cannon
BIGbudz808@reddit
Belt buckle or bust
