What to update for gaming?

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if you think there are any obsolete components that should be replaced. I'd like to start gaming at 1440p (kcd2, rdr2, etc.) \*Ryzen 5 3600\* \*RX 6650XT 8gb\* \*16GB ram DDR4-3002\* \*aorus b450m\* \*PSU 500W (I do not remember the model)\* \*KingSpac NX512 Gen3x4 NVMe 512gb 2280\* \*HDD PNY SATA 500gb\* I'd say upgrade the graphics card. Which GPU do you recommend for 30% more FPS at 1440p? Does it make sense to upgrade the RAM? If the answer is yes: \- Is it better to add another 16GB of RAM (still DDR4-3002)? \- Or does it make sense to sell the current one and replace it with a faster 16GB DDR5? (I can't install 32GB of new RAM because it's too expensive, I want a trade-off)

What’s your budget for this upgrade and what fps would you like to play at? You may need to accept 1440p at 60-90 fps depending on how much you can budget. I agree with you that the GPU is definitely the priority, go for something with 12GB VRAM minimum. Maybe a 9070. It’s not as exciting but you should also probably upgrade that PSU to cater for the GPU upgrade and any other upgrades - 650W minimum, ideally 750W plus. If you had budget leftover, more RAM would of course be good, and upgrading to DDR5 is best but that will also entail replacing the mobo and CPU which you may not have budget for.
