Is there a fire risk from buying an e-scooter and charging it at home/work?

Good morning people,
I'm considering getting an e-scooter from Currys (PURE ELECTRIC Pure Air5) to make commuting easier and more fun.
Plenty of bike lanes on mostly flat roads for about 2.8 miles so makes sense.
Bikes are not an option because i have no place to store them at home. A folding scooter is just about doable. Folding ebikes are far too expensive.
Thoughts? Batteries apparently have caught fire in e-scooters in the UK so thought I'll ask
