"CDL class A local driver/forklift operator"
That's what their posting says. Does that mean you will be doing P&D and drive a forklift? Any insight into what its like working for them would be great.

Very common for them to lay off lower seniority drivers when they slow down.

Most likely just a dock worker who drives once in a while. Eventually can bid on a driving route but could take a long time.
They tend to lay off a lot when things are slow, lower guys are the first to go.
Great benefits if you can make it through the initial

Depending on how big or small the location is, you could be doing years of dock work with occasional driving before you get the chance to land a dedicated driving bid.

I see. If you have a bid than all you do is drive the same route or how does that work?

At our location there is route bids and wild bids. The wilds handle overflow for the routes and drop and hook/intermodal runs.
Theres a couple of flatbed bids that handle relocubes and oversized freight.

They are union pay and benefits.
