No such thing as a fish is funny, it's basically like listening to friends ramble on about something. Not something you need to pay tonnes of attention to but I like it when I need something lighthearted when I'm half asleep on my commute

If you like history Noiser have a whole range of interesting series. Excellent narration too.
One type I'm always on the lookout for but seldom see are shortform podcasts: 5-15 minutes. Often they start with good intentions and creep up in length over time. Of the pods my rotation, Philosophy Bites has been the only one that (generally) manages it.

Heavyweight: Really enthralling real-time stories about people connecting with others they previously lost contact with or feel like something needs to be resolved. Each episode starts with the dilemma and then the host helps to reconnect people, which means every episode is unique and shaped around individual stories.
Every Little Thing: A really great 'comfort-pod'. Listeners submit questions and the host goes about researching to answer them. It's more than just an educational pod because they find some really interesting people to talk to and it's all quite niche topics. Great for gentle Sunday listening!
The Boring Talks: Another wonderful 'comfort-pod' for lazy days. It's a series of 'talks" about mundane things like Teletext, Pencils, Ice-cream vans, Asterisk puns, and Toilet Graffiti. I listened to one a day on my lockdown walks and it made everything feel far more grounding.
Everything is Alive: nterviews with Playing Cards, Sharpies, a Bath Towel, a Balloon... It's an unscripted pod where the host asks"inanimate objects" (played by improv actors) about their daily lives.
Iceworld: Interviews with people who work with the British Antarctic Survey! They cover all sorts of aspects of working in Antarctica and the sorts of practical and living experiences of doing so.
Most of my suggestions are no longer making new episodes, but they are completely worth listening to from episode one through to the end. I absolutely avoid murder/horror/crime pods so these are basically the opposite of those!
Additional shout for: Off Menu, This is Love (this one is the sister-pod of 'Criminal'), Just a Minute, Brydon&, Who shat on the floor at my wedding, The Walkers: The real salt path.

I like Modern Wisdom.
I think he sometimes gets a but unfairly lumped in with the manosphere types, but he's not really that I don't think. But of a productivity bro, but that's about it. Ge has a really good range of guests on, and was naturally good at interviewing people right from the beginning. I used to pick out the ones I thought I'd be interested in, then because I listen whilst driving, would often just let the next one run and it'd be something I wouldn't have picked, but turned out to be really interesting. So I went back tk the beginning and I'm just working my way through all of them

Newsagents, Off Air, Desert Island Discs, Table Manners, Dish, to name just a few of the ones I regularly listen to. I need to win the lottery so I can just spend my days listening to pods. Best invention ever!
