Big in mid to late 90s I think and a bit in to the 00’s, proper nu metal. It was my era and I’d get a “wigga”.
I’ve seen a few people still *rocking* on socials but it’s more MySpace scene but I am also 40 so out the loop….

Can't say I've seen this subset, your description does remind me of the late 70's/80's, with the beginnings of football firms. Diadora, Tacchini, Fila, gold and sovs.
I do recall the mayhem on Saturdays but that's the closest I've ever witnessed to the collective type of people you mentioned. It's a new one on me 😀
