9600x + rx 7900xt PSU recommendation

I've been using a 750W PSU for my current PC setup, but I recently discovered a lot of conflicting opinions about power requirements for the RX 7900 XT.
Some Reddit threads and Facebook groups say the 7900 XT needs at least 850W, up to 1000W if you want extra headroom. But I've also seen plenty of people saying 750W is perfectly fine. I've been running mine for about a year with no real issues—aside from the GPU problem described in the megathread below:

Since I'm getting an RMA for my GPU, I really want to avoid any stuttering or other power-related issues when the replacement arrives.
So my question is: What wattage PSU are you using with your 7900 XT, and should I consider upgrading mine?

The power-related issue would be the PSU just shutting off if components draw more power than it can handle. It's not going to cause stuttering or other performance issues. If your PC hasn't been shutting down with load on the GPU, your PSU is fine.

7900xt tdp is 300 watts. 9600x tdp is 65 watts. A 750 watt PSU is plenty.

Officially the 7900xt has a TDP of 315w and is suggested to run with a 750w PSU.
750w would be fine, and with a 9600x a 650w would work with no problems as well, as long as it's a quality PSU.

People saying you need 1000w are delusional. 850w would be plenty headroom if you wanted to upgrade the CPU, and sometimes can be cheaper or similar price to 750w. 750w should be enough if it's a decent rated on SPL and Cybernetics unit.

If you want data, just go to pcpp.
