Google it. There are CFI directories. Look in craigslist. Look here: https://www.gleim.com/

I’m happy to help. Problem is one of us needs to relocate at least six hours, and come up with an airplane

If googling “Houston area flight instruction” doesn’t give you want you want, I’d look on Facebook. There’s probably a group called “Houston area pilots” or something like that. That’s how I found planes to rent when I moved.

I’ll be happy to use my plane for instruction… if you cover the 100hr inspections and insurance increase.

I’m curious why you think this is better?
I do both, wonder what your thinking is.

Lone Star Aviators, Houston Area Aviators, or Houston Aviators groups on Facebook is a decent place to start.

No there is not a "Tinder for CFIs" app. The reason you'll have a hard time finding what you're describing is because of airplane access.
Schools don't tend to rent out their aircraft to their competition and it's not a very attractive option for a CFI who doesn't want to run a school to use an aircraft they personally own for instruction because doing that is one big step towards operating a flight school.
You could potentially look at buying into a flying club where a CFI who is allowed to train with the club's aircraft.

If you don't own an airplane, you're going to need to look for a club. Independent instructors don't normally offer their own airplanes for instruction (adds insurance and maintenance costs). Each club usually has a list of approved instructors.

Go to the airports and start asking around

Do you own an airplane?

I would look at local pilot Facebook groups. The big one in my area is always full of independent CFIs advertising their services.
