The Bowl lineup is actually looking legendary. Are we finally a music city again?

Just checking the Skiddle listings for the summer, The Prodigy in August, Reggae Land, Burna Boy, and now Miss Lauryn Hill? For years the National Bowl felt like a wasted asset that only got used for car boot sales and the occasional circus. To see a full summer schedule like this feels like a massive win for the city. I’m not sure my eardrums are ready for The Prodigy’s "Warriors Dance" return, but it’s better than another year of the venue sitting empty.

Combine this with the stadium having a 2 day festival in June with a few big names: https://smklive.com/
Basement Jaxx, Black eyed peas, clean bandit, Jason Derulo.
Again not everyones tastes, but it show more and more events in MK. We are getting our music vibes back as a city

Lauren hill is the worst act I've ever seen live. Saw her at Glastonbury and she was shitty the whole set

Same, we saw her at boomtown, she turned up almost an hour late (which we heard is normal for her gigs) and wasn't even that good after all that.

It's great that the NIMBYs have been ignored. The Bowl definitely needs a bit of refreshing though, hopefully some of the money made from these giggs will be put back into improving the venue.

It's planned!

A shame that they don't seem to be doing another edition of Forever Now again this year. It wasn't perfect last year but I had a good day overall.

I think they had problems selling tickets. I ended up getting mine reduced in a flash sale and think they went even cheaper.
But a good day out nonetheless.

I was tempted to go last year until I saw the ticket price, its not suprising they didnt sell too well. - I understand that early birds paid the most though, which sucks even more.

It was a good day out, but I heard they sold less than 10,000 tickets. I reckon the promoters would be well out of pocket. I don’t think they’ll be hosting a similar event this year.

The Burna boy gig is part of Reggaeland, they habe just tried to distance it because they got hate for launching the friday after tickets sold out with a non reggae headliner 😂
But yes, love that MK is back on the map

Yeah, it’s really great that we have such an exciting line-up of bang up-to-date artists and music this summer! It’s the perfect representation of one of the UK’s newest cities.
