why do vegans and vegetarians constantly eat fake "meat"? thats way worse for you than an actual animal and causes more harm to the environment to produce.
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
None of that has to do with why I'm a vegetarian so ?
I_am_not_kidding@reddit
so its more morally sound to eat soy, which they kill every animal and insect in the area while poisoning the land to farm, to make your fake meat than just eating a real animal? typical vegaloon
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
You're pretty bothered by what a stranger eats so you have no place calling anyone a loon. Pot meet kettle.
One-Rise7437@reddit
downvoted because of fake bacon
NEVER FAKE BACON
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
I'm a vegetarian so always fake bacon for me. Downvoted because you're a hater.
akuzin@reddit
I would eat this, nothing about is shitty, probably tastes a little on the fake side but not shitty, ok you are vegan and trying to do a low carb thing (weight maintenance), outside of salads what else are you able to eat, I would not say this is healthy a lot of processed crap, may that is what makes it shitty but not shittyfoodporn
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
I'm not vegan though. Vegans don't eat eggs 😅 I don't think I could ever be vegan. I love eggs, cheese and Culver's custard too much. The main processed crap is probably the fake bacon (Uptons naturals) and the bagels. I guess most cheese is processed but like most I'm not ever going to be motivated enough to make my own cheese. Lol.

I mean, prioritizing whole foods makes it pretty easy to meet protein goals, vegetarian or not.
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
I don't agree but to each their own. 🤷🏼♀️
YogurtclosetOk9266@reddit
I know, legumes and whole grains are a difficult concept.
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
Reaching my protein goal with them is and whole grains are not high in protein. What an unnecessarily rude comment.
YogurtclosetOk9266@reddit
Protein is absolutely important to prioritize, and a 10-1 calorie to g ratio is what is the benchmark of a good source. It's great that you've found a way to hit your protein goals in a way that fits your lifestyle. There's also no problem with having some processed food in your diet, but the original commenter was right in that it's mostly processed calories(which again there is nothing wrong with sometimes.)
RavenMarvel@reddit (OP)
I wish I could do better than 10-1 easily but it's difficult to get higher. I want to build muscle and I'm female so it's a little harder to do that. That's why I'm saying it's difficult for me. My goal is higher than someone who is just eating a normal diet and not trying to gain anything or worried about body composition. Thanks for the input.
