Submission statement. This article details how close we are to collapse due to acclerating climate change impacts, then reviews our hopelessly-inadequate solutions to this predicament. This also analyses the collective psychological elements that seriously are not helping.

We reduce economic activity, we get termination shock beyond what was ever anticipated. And then the mountain of debt comes due, the microplastics keep growing anyway, and the hunger which is already the greatest ever...explodes to most of us. We have to solve all the problems, not pick and choose them.
