Nvme ssd alternatives

I’ll be installing the generic 1tb nvme in my build but I’d prefer to have 1.5-2tb, I’m not willing to buy another nvme so are their any good options. I have a 1tb hard drive, are they really that slow?

You install windows apps and games on the NVMe. Put your documents pics download etc folders on the HDD and point windows at them. Now you have speed, but most of your large slow files never make it onto the nvme until you put them there. I put TMP and Temp on the HDD too.

if i read and understood this correctly, you have a 1TB NVMe and a 1TB HDD. you want 1.5-2TB in your PC. you can connect the hard drive for storage. it won’t run any modern OSes even usably (use the NVME for that) but it is an excellent option for storing your data and stuff.

So you don't want to buy anything and you do have an HDD you are not using? Then what is actually the question? Use what you have.
