Which gpu should I get for an old system?

Hi i have a i5 9600k with 16 gig of ram (not sure of speed its corsair vengence and lights up) but only a gtx 1050.
I feel the cpu and ram is probably ok and capable of a more powerful gpu. I have a 750w corsair rmx power supply as well.
I mostly play older games in 1080p through a tv. Ive been looking at getting a desk and monitor again but most options seem to be 1440p.
I play starcraft 2, cnc remastered, ut99. etc. I want to try cs2
I was thinking a second hand 1080 ti for about £80

1080ti would be fine for those games.
cs2 will run at like 200 fps or so

1080ti for 80 dollar? Hahaha! That's a crazy deal. Super powerful for your needs, you could most probably play modern games too.

A 1080 ti is still somewhat capable. £80 is a great price for it.

1080tI for 80 is a good deal. Do it.

On an old system you'll want AMD due to lower CPU overhead, but if you're buying used it's more about what's in the used market for good prices anyway.
