south america was forced to develop as raw material exporters for european exploitation instead of industrialized countries that add value through processing or development. Asia didn’t suffer that and that’s why able to grow.
always funny seeing tards try to apply rigid 18th century principles of racism to the modern day and fail
Argentina gained independence in 1810. Brazil gained independence in 1822. They have been free for 200 years, yet are still crying over European colonization. Meanwhile, a country like Malaysia gained independence in 1957 and now has a GDP per capita that is higher than every South American country.
Yeah, and Kissinger is still pulling the strings on the entire South American continent from his grave. The colonizer is all mighty, and the South Americans are just powerless to do anything.
i know right. everyone always forgets that south america was colonized and used for raw materials. and were the only countries used that way. and that no other colonial country was ever used that way. not one. (there are alot)
Countries don’t invent shit. People do. Country being rich, a good place to live and territorially in a great economic region attracts talent from the whole world AND businesses - and can afford better education. People living in South America just drew a short straw that’s, all. And the talent that is there is mostly either non discovered or leaves for greener pastures.
Argentina was a very wealthy country at one time. They had decades of retarded politics to blame for what they have now.
Explain why every single country in Africa INSTANTLY became first world and better in every single way when whites took over management and when they gave back their countries literally on a silver platter they became shit holes? Have you ever been to Africa? I have, and the reason all countries in Africa is absolutely shitfucked is because the people aren't intellectual enough to run advanced societies. They can manage small simple villages and tribes. That's it. They simply aren't capable.
Literally were a global top 10 economy, and for people emigrating to the Americas in the early the 1900s the choice was whether to head for the US or Argentina.
The scale of self-fucking they had to do to squander that is really quite legendary.
Yeah, sure what a nice coincidence for the US right?
Especially since the US is being known to never interfere in competing nations... especially South America, their direct neighbor.
We are always downplaying progress of the american stupidity... "Israel palestine conflict started at oct 7" 2 years ago was nothing compared to this bullshit!
How obliviously illiterate can you be? It started even way before, 1492 with Colombus, into an age of inhuman colonialism, mass extinction of the indiginous peoples and slavery.
South American countries have unreliable institutions, large scale corruption, swing from far left to far right government's. Has insane murder and crime figures and wide scale emigration.
I wonder why moat of the countries are doing so poorly.
By rights, Guyana should be producing a Norwegian style welfare state right now.
But bet you in 30 years there is no money and all that oil wealth dissappears.

Asia wasn’t colonized to the degree of the Americas
pbaagui1@reddit
You suck at reading too. Skill issue is that getting colonized to that degree in the first place.
