Not sure what was in the content, but looks like the details is correct. Vercel employee's google workspace account was hacked by third party ai tool from context ai. Now not sure whether the context AI was compromised, or someone was able to use the employee's context ai credentials to take over the google workspace, and hope we'll get more details soon.

This article seems AI-generated?
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
AI assisted in writing this yes, I see people are taking it hard, can someone explain why?
MatthewMob@reddit
If you did not spend effort to write it why would I spend effort to read it?
I could just generate the article myself.
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
Not better than you writing the same argument 3 people wrote before you here šš

kĀ
Fat_cat_syndicate@reddit
Then just write the bloody article. You did all the work of baking the cake, and then hired a trained monkey to decorate it. Other than the novelty it detracts from the work.
Or to put it another way, if you couldn't be bothered to write it, why the hell should I bother to read it?
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
Itās not a novel, Iām literally responding to a breach that just happened and I want people to get this piece of news as quickly as possible, if it was an AI generated book I would agree
always_assume_anal@reddit
Quickly as possible lol. Saved you maybe 20 minutes of work.
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
With the point to do that being?
always_assume_anal@reddit
That you wanting it out there 20 minutes faster doesn't make people go "Oh I'm glad he had ChatGPT make this". Slop is slop.
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
lol itās only on this subreddit that people are flipping out about that tbh
always_assume_anal@reddit
It is not only on this subreddit.
gimpwiz@reddit
Who wants to read something you didn't want to write?
LeeHide@reddit
Because if you didn't take the time to write it, the social contract falls apart. You expect people to read it despite the fact you couldn't even be bothered to write it.
chucker23n@reddit
Because itās generally gross.
Because of the irony that an āAIā company was part of the breach.
Because you still want to make money with all those popups and ads.
Yes, it seems you did research here, but this devalues that.
Yami454@reddit
I suspect the kinds of people who migrate towards reading articles about AI failures are more likely to be hostile to the concept of AI than a truly random sample of the population.
Over_Dingo@reddit
I was thinking "these reports get harder and harder to read"
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
AI assisted, but I wrote and curated it + added the relevant screenshots

The post title is wrong. A Vercel employee's Google Workspace was compromised through a breach in Context AI.

It's always fucking lumma and roblox. you would think an employee of a company would have enough IQ points to spend on taking the time to think through their damn actions
Axmirza2@reddit
might be a kid on mom/dads work laptop
_BreakingGood_@reddit
At the very least you'd think they would have enough disposable income to just buy whatever stupid "boosts" in roblox rather than resorting to sketchy auto-clickers
myrsnipe@reddit
Or keep your work machine, auth and identity seperate from your private. While it still could risk your own stuff at least it doesn't impact your professional career.
sargeanthost@reddit
that's so true
deanrihpee@reddit
"Roblox"
lmao
khan9813@reddit
But but but teams with ai are so much more productive /s
rocketbunny77@reddit
Roblox autofarming bot. What
yeathatsmebro@reddit
You gotta do something... you know... when waiting for the AI to finish that task at your job...
Buttleston@reddit
This is all the context you have??
Malwarebeasts@reddit (OP)
lol idk if thatās a pun on the context AI thing but if youāre serious, it basically solves how Context AI was hacked via an employee downloading malware and granting access to hackers which then led to a third party breach at Vercel
Buttleston@reddit
It's true. When I clicked on it, I got a popup and reversed course. Maybe that was hasty of me but I am not in the habit of reading pay walled content
Buttleston@reddit
Imagine making a useful post. You can do it if you try
Buttleston@reddit
Your entire post is a screen shot. It solves fucking dog shit
