Some people are mad about it not being Surefire or Streamlight, while conveniently forgetting the fact that Streamlight and Holosun were derided as being "Chinese rip-offs" of Surefire and Trijicon.
Olights aren't as bright or have the same throw as their Streamlight counterparts but they're usually half the price, rechargable, and have a lifetime warranty. Really the holster thing is the biggest single issue they have as a brand.
Also Olight received a reputation for exploding when subjected to abuse. I’m not sure how prevalent it is these days but it was a notable issue a few years ago
It's popular to hate on them, which is really odd because some of the same people sing the praises of the Harbor Freight light. I have both OLights and a HF light, and the OLights are significantly better quality.
As someone else mentioned, holster support is really the only major drawback, so on things I carry I usually run Streamlight.
well the Harbor Freight light is also half the price and is a slightly different dimension Streamlight so there are some bonuses for those in extreme plebbery
It's a decent enough deal for the $40 or whatever it costs, but I don't think it's skookum enough to hold up to carry use or regular lint/dust ingress. It would be fine enough for a house gun.
It's 100% not. Unfortunately it's real. I blame the TikTok generation and the fact that it turned disabilities into fads. Even still, seeing a grown man walking around armed wearing that best is just tragic.
Oh for sure the vest is a real product that exists, the leash attachment is intended for a caregiver or other medical needs though, definitely not a firearm. At least I can only assume!

Genuinely curious what's wrong with Olight?

They have terrible holster support.

It was actually cause someone blew one up putting an unregulated battery in it
Infinite-Nil@reddit
Seems like something someone poor enough to use Olight would do tbh
6ought6@reddit
Its actually kinda an honest mistake, 18650s and such are no joke

If that's not a joke, bruh. Having the non-verbal kid open carry a glizzy sounds like some "assisted suicide by cop" shit.

Like 90% sure this is photoshopped/AI generated lol

wait how do you know it’s real?
rando_mness@reddit
I looked it up on the internet and found them for sale. There are also other mentions of it on the internet.

The gun's pixels in no way match up with the rest of the image. Added in after the fact for sure.

I fuckin' hope so. The leash mounting point is definitely a nice touch.

Non verbal, but open carries. Yeah that checks out. Good luck deescalating anything.
banana-blaster69@reddit
Who the fuck said we were deescalating anything?

Oh shit, I just seen I'm in bestgunnitweekend. Yeah I should've known before I opened my whore mouth.

Those appear to be car keys

Mom's car keys! The o.g. fidget toy! Mom got him "his own keys", so he doesn't try to drive
