That's class, the runway configuration is actually spot on though which makes it even funnier.

Yeah you'll have to fill out the proper paperwork with NASA and the FAA.

Cleveland for sure. They extended 10/28 apparently.

Came to the comments KNOWING somebody was gonna post exactly which airport it is. Thank you

Correct 👍

The 6L/24R expansion is a dead giveaway. Cleveland (KCLE) confirmed.

Obviously the best aircraft design for a sandy environment...

One of the plot points of Dune (and thematic points) is that all of the off world equipment like Ornithopters break down so constantly on Arrakis that the Harkonnens sabotage/neglect can be presented as just natural breakage to the Landsraad. Less subtly all of the modern equipment used on Arrakis makes sandworms try and eat you.
airfryerfuntime@reddit
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure the ornithopters were just Frank Herbert thinking "yeah, that sounds cool".
Master_Persimmon_591@reddit
What the one that’s essentially JUST moving parts?

Is that one of them hornythopters from desert StarWars? 🤔

Eh, it works. Interesting deep dive if anyone wants to go into manned thopters. I can see them being practical over other forms as they probably don't have to worry about sucking up huge volumes of flesh stripping sand. While retaining a VTOL ability.

Why do US airports love intersecting runways so much...
ahmc84@reddit
A lot of US airports operate with parallel runways, particularly the larger ones.
But most of them used to have an intersecting runway configuration, and I'd bet it was (and where applicable, is) to allow optimal takeoff direction when wind direction changes significantly.

Saw this image without reading the title thought it was some antique grainy sepia film of some strange sunlit plane in fog.
trucker_95@reddit
Why are the runways never at 90 degree angles?
sodium_hydride@reddit
See JFK & SFO.
agentkayne@reddit
Because that maximises the amount of land the airport takes up.

Also PRG if they had a parallel runway to 06/24. Featuring the disused shorter runway which is also 90° vertical to 12/30.
