Got to see the Thunderbirds for the first time in my life at Dun N Fun this year. It was amazing!
Shot with a Canon Rebel T6, and a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS II

Nice shots. Do you shoot video and take stills or RAW burst mode?

Raw Burst. The canon rebel T6 has a cropped sensor so the 400mm lens ends up being effectively 640mm.

Very cool. I have a cropped Canon R10, looking forward to trying this myself. Do you keep the camera on a tripod?

I actually hand held the camera the whole time. I might try a monopod next time

Monopod is best for tracking action shots. This applies to sports, motorsports, aviation, even wildlife.

Which high speed lens was used?

What makes you think this was a high speed lens?

I rented out a canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS II
