Hi guys. I have an old gaming pc that has :
- an AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor
- 8Gb of RAM
- an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3gb graphic card
(Also other things but they arent really important nor outdated)
I was thinking of getting new components because due to the outdated processor I cant play some games or even get Windows 11 (i'm on Windows 10) and because of the small quantity of memory my pc lags a lot.
I don't have a big budget so I was thinking of getting :
- an AMD Ryzen 5 7600x processor
- either a Asrock B650M HDV/M.2 or a Asrock B650M Pro RS motherboard
- and a 6000mhz CL30 Kit (2×16Gb) for the RAM
Can you help me choose the brand for the RAM and tell me if there's any other motherboards that are good ? Also I'm not changing my graphic card for now cause it's too expensive for me to get a new one, but if you know any cheap and good graphic card that are better than mine tell me.

what is your budget?

At best I would say 700/800€ : 300/400€ for the RAM and 300€ for the processor + motherboatd (the Ryzen 5 7600x costs 150€ rn with a promotion).

Damn thank you man you're a life saver, I didnt even know there were memory cards for less than 300€. Also ty for the video card even if more than 800€ is a bit over budget I will buy the processor, motherboard and memory first to then in the meantime buy the video card when I have enough

IF you want a better upgrade path for the future. https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/LYXdmL
Its AM5 and the CPU is better
bringbackcayde7@reddit
if you go for only 16gb ram for am4, you have enough for graphics card

Does the graphic card depend on the memory ? I don't really know a lot of things about pcs
