I got banned from r/Machinist for showing highly classified parts and my employer found out. Then I got banned from r/MechanicalEngineering for my celebration meal that I made because HR let me keep my job. It’s been a bad week.

Any of the following may result in your post being removed:
1) Incredible food belongs in r/foodporn
2) Normal food belongs in r/decentfoodporn
3) Literally Not Food
4) Meme/Shitpost
5) AI food is not real food
6) And finally, if your post is downvoted past a certain threshold, it will be removed, regardless of shitty-ness

Do they somehow not tell you not to put classified things on Reddit? Or anywhere else that isn't classified, but especially Reddit.

I don’t think so. Six figure jobs are hard to come by where I live.
Fomulouscrunch@reddit
As they should be, and it could go to someone who didn't do what you did.
Mediocre-Educator204@reddit (OP)
Why?
Fomulouscrunch@reddit
Because it's pretty basic to be very careful with highly classified stuff. Putting it on Reddit in the first place was bad. Bragging about it in another community was more bad. Bringing it here, a completely unrelated community, is yet another layer of even worse choices.

Take that steak out of the microwave.
Pink_Neons@reddit
And you're still talking about it on reddit. Go grab a drink with a mate

Not microwaving the steak is a good first step.
kadylady14@reddit
Right.
Maybe start with cooking a steak like an adult.
