swapped out my gpu for an older one fans spin for a little bit then stops no lights on the gpu no display

do i need to update my drivers or something ive tried reseating it a few times even tried it in a different mobo same issue how to troubleshoot from here?

Did you DDU the 3060 drivers before installing the 970 ones?

how old are we talking? in theory it should just work but your mobo might be trying to run it at a pcie gen too new
maybe try cmos reset and if that doesnt work, swap the gpu back and change the pcie gen manually to match the card and swap back
you cant even access bios correct? to my knowledge no driver issue will prevent you from entering bios

3060 to a gtx 970 so pretty old lol but it was the gpu i originally had and had no issues upgrading maybe i knocked something out wack cleaning it ill see about a cmos swap no display so bios
