So many people defending a thief in the comments is insane. When did people get this soft?... Thieves will bash their victims head 100% of the time just to make sure they can get what they want without resistance. Smh.
The point is that while yeah it does absolutely suck this guy stole that bike, we can al agree that theft is a crime. But much as revealing in the pain and suffering of someone, I believe the teachings of Christ would be to turn the other cheek so you can slap me again “Do not repay evil with evil” (Romans 12:17) and “turn the other cheek” (Matthew 5:39).
Another aspect here is empathy, you don't need to revel in gore and suffering, it's kinda weird. Like why would you wish that level of evil on someone, you know you can know something is wrong and want justice in a way that isn't this. Does this really solve the problem? If it werr you and it was your bike, and you had to watch the gore, how would you feel?
"Do not repay evil with evil" Since when did retaliation become evil? The only evil here is the thief having zero empathy for their victims. Criminals deserve no empathy because they'll give you none as they steal your things and most of the time kill you for it and spit on your corpse too for trying to resist. You and many other folks is a great example of suicidal empathy trying to rationalize and defend irrational individuals with indefensible criminal actions.
This is harassment and assault. If the guy stole the bike let him park it then take it. Easy as that. If this was the real owner they wouldn’t try to destroy their own property.

Good it never escalated to unjustified force. Theft of an eBike could be a felony depending on how much it's valued. Hitting a person with a vehicle is attack with a deadly weapon and definitely a felony.

Even assuming these allegations are true, assaulting someone with a lethal weapon for fleeing on a stolen bike would still be a crime.
The driver has potentially incriminated himself on video and could face serious charges if he cut off the alleged thief and contributed to what could be a life threatening accident.
You don't have to have pity for bike thieves to understand this.
Wishing harm on someone who has done wrong is a good way to bring oneself closer to the mentality of the person who did wrong. To often I see humans becoming like the people they hate, because they hate them.
Wishing well and hoping they find the right way to live and do better shows one has empathy. It's crazy to think that the majority of humans who think they're good people will still wish harm on those who've commited "worse crimes" than they have. Cursing others is a curse on the self. Weird shit. Been there in my early 20s and it's happened to me too.
I hope he is ok. Failing to render first aid or assistance no matter what he'd done could land you in jail. He can easily claim he was run off the road and the video proves you were thinking of doing just that. Good luck fools
I hate this. I've had three bikes stolen in my life (I'm older so there's that). I hated losing every bike. But I wouldn't wish someone getting a head injury, spinal injury or worse to recover my bike.
