Asking for recommendations

I'm seeking recommendations for a wagon, somewhere around 5 or 6 years old.
Background: I'm an older guy so performance is no longer a priority.
I'm currently driving a Ford Escape. There's nothing wrong with it, BUT, I have 2 dogs and one is 11 years old and 65 pounds (Husky mix) She's nearing a time where jumping in the car will be more and more difficult. hence a wagon with it's lower floor.
Second dog is another Husky mix but she's 90 pounds(!) someday she'll have problems too, and I'll be ten years older.
So, any recommendations?

How about one of these folding dog ramps?

Which ever wagon best suits you. V60? V60XC?

PNW + wagon sounds like a Subaru Outback. The load floor height is nice and low but has good ground clearance, all wheel drive, and decent gas mileage vs SUVs. They also don’t have the big lip at the bottom of the hatch like most hatchbacks, wagons, and SUVs. My usual recommendation is a Honda Fit, they are excellent cars with tons of room for their size and when the magic seats are down, they lay flat unlike most other vehicles. Not everyone loves a Fit, so other good hatchback/wagon options would be a Civic, Prius, or Mazda 3 (if you don’t need AWD).
Obviously I have a preference for Japanese cars, they’ve always been more reliable in my experience.

Thanks

People forget about the TSX Wagon a lot for some reason. Solid v6 and they’re very bulletproof

Interesting, I'll look at this more.

Subaru Outbacks are dime a dozen up there. If you don't want/need AWD and prefer even lower, look for a VW Jetta or Passat wagon. There's also a Mazda 6 wagon that was out for a couple years, but that might be hard to find. Buick made a wagon for a few years that was pretty good, but I can't recall what they called it.

Okay, good start of a list
