Honest Question.

If you have a Sprinter, or Ford Transit Connect, or Nissan NV 3500, etc. and wanted to use it to take paying loads. Would you need a "CDL", or an "Operating Authority", a logbook, or a D.O.T. Physical to legally run? Asking because I am seeing some companies that you can run for with these types of vehicles, and they never mention any or these things (except the physical, which I would have no trouble passing), but they are all wanting only 2016 or newer models of these vans, and I will only have access to 2012-10 and older models. So I guess that would only leave trying to somehow find loads, and run them myself.

I used to company drive OTR back in the early 2000's but I ended up letting my CDL go cause my wife had the nutty idea that I should actually live in our house with her and the kids...

(So crazy right?) /s.

Getting my CDL back would require either at least $5500 cash for a school, or getting hooked up with Schneider, or (*shudders*) Swift so that I could get it again for free. But this route would require months of OTR and get my wife mad at me (again). Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated!
