Why are there so many dancers when films don't showcase musical dance numbers often?

What do you think? Unlike Indian films where they require background dancers, British cinema rarely make use of them.

You know that dance is an art form in its own right? It's not just a film background.

There's got to be many small theatres in the UK, surely some of those put musicals on?
It's not just Movies or fuckshit is it surely?

How come there are so many plumbers when football games never have them on at halftime?
Superb_Copy1644@reddit
Dancing is a popular way of expressing yourself en mass without being in the spotlight. Whilst advanced dancing often requires training, at a low level it’s self developed and free essentially, compared to say a musical instrument.

Why are there so many dancers where? I don't understand the question.

You see them in your garden at night doing the Rumba, and your the doorbell camera Can Can Canning. You see them in the hedgerows on country lanes Foxtrotting and atop the embankments along the motorway having a quick Argentine Tango. Often they are hit by milk floats in the early mornings when they American Smooth or loose on airfields causing flight delays while they Waltz. They cause schools to shut early when they gather too close Breakdancing and many a football match has been abandoned due to field invaders dancing the Meringue.
They're just about.

Why are there so many accountants when they never get on tv?
Weylane@reddit
Because dance exists outside of movies and has been one of the oldest form of entertainement / art 🤣

Ballet's not dead, don't listen to Timothee.
They can do music videos, poledancing, just for fun etc. Though I wouldn't say there's an unusual amount of dancers.

Are you just seeing people dancing when you walk down the street?
In Tesco? At the dentist?
That’s a conversation with a professional, not Reddit.
Icy_Mixture1482@reddit
Where are you seeing these dancers? I don’t get the question.
N64Andysaurus92@reddit
What an odd question. Dancers can be used in movies, music videos, concerts, musical theatre amongst other things. It’s a flexible skill.
