For anyone curious, spend the $25 and attend a stop the bleed class. A $220 trauma kit is great but if you don’t know how to pack a wound or apply a tq it’s gonna be $220 wasted.

The last time I talked to medical professionals about this, the consensus was that you'd be better off stuffing your t-shirt into the wound. If you didn't have a shirt, you'd still be better off sticking your finger in and applying pressure that way.
I've never been able to find any documented evidence that tampons do any good at all for traumatic bleeding. All of the testing I can find indicates they're somewhere between "useless" and "actively harmful".

It is intended to be used as a tampon and is not included at all for bleeding control due to a traumatic injury. Plenty of other great items in the Kit to deal with injuries, please do not use a tampon for anything other than its intended use.

Out of curiosity why isn't it to be used for Injuries? I have some on my kit but they are like real ones not full of nasty chemicals, stole them from the wife.

I know you're joking, but to be super clear that would be a bad idea. They'd still bleed out, just internally instead of all over the floor.
