Any besides amazon?
strappnasti50@reddit
I deliver medical supplies to hospitals. Our working days are Sunday-Thursday nights be we rarely use our 5th day. Senior guys have a three day weekend, the rest of us have a random night off during the week and always have Friday and Saturday night off
darklorddoone@reddit
Amazon. And most of thier 3p affiliates. Amazon we work 4/10 A3pa do 3/14s some let you pick up 4th day and most of them pay you 13hr aday if u work less then.
SpecialRanger8@reddit
Slowly becoming a thing of the past, I am afraid. But they were nice, along with a great wage.
purplemanatee420@reddit
Flatbed and unload yourself with a forklift. 4 10s for me.
buddhathebard@reddit
It’s possible at the walfart
ivyentre@reddit
No it's not.
Minimum amount of days per week is 4.
buddhathebard@reddit
And op said he’s looking for a 4 day work week… so uh
ivyentre@reddit
Goddamn mobile...
I meant 5.
buddhathebard@reddit
Nah my dc has people working under 5 days. There’s a program and then some old dudes.
Desh282@reddit
I work at UNFI
Have 4 day bid. Pick up a 5th day for overtime
IBringTheHeat2@reddit
Over here at ups we have 3 day OTR runs. Make about $1600 a week and then work extra local if you wanna
Feeling-Cap-7210@reddit (OP)
😮💨 good ole ups

Different_Mousse_564@reddit
Man that is just about impossible bruh not even lying. Sysco is probably the only place that does it
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Are you serious ?!
Different_Mousse_564@reddit
Well it’s the truth
Clintfjr78@reddit
There are literally other drivers saying they work 4 days so how is it impossible?
Different_Mousse_564@reddit
It’s not very common
Pastorfuzz69@reddit
Fuel hauler here. 4 day workweek. Fri, Sat, Sun, and Monday. Weekends off don’t matter to me as I’m single. $39 per hour, time and a half after 40. I usually get around 42 to 50 hours per week. 3 days off per s great IMO.
meizhong@reddit
Can't get shit done on the weekends anyway. Dmv is closed, accountant is closed, doctor and dentist both closed. Better to have a couple of weekdays to get things done.
drivermurph@reddit
True and I've thought that. Recently tho, how often are you really going to DMV or your Dr? Because if you're having health issues on a regular basis, work may be the least of your issues.
meizhong@reddit
I go a couple times a year probably. Dentist at least that. And I have to take a day off, which means I'm a pay for the dentist AND lose a day's pay.
drivermurph@reddit
But it's not that often in the grand scheme of things. That's all I'm saying. And what works for you doesn't work for everyone else. I just know I had the 2 weekdays off at various points in my working life and that was more annoying than anything working every weekend compared to having Sun/Mon off or something. Weekends off were annoying in their own way, but not as bad. Just me though
tidyshark12@reddit
I have to go to dr every 3 months to renew my adhd meds.
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Wow you’re rich and local bro nice
Freight-N-Wait@reddit
Thats not bad at all tbh. Im in flatbed atm (just got my cdl) but was looking to potentially move over to tanker later. How hard is it to get on with fuel hauling, would you say?
Not making an immidiate jump OBV, but i like to know my options for later for sure
Routine_Structure_99@reddit
What company and tell me they have something in nyc
Pastorfuzz69@reddit
Nothing in NYC. Furthest east we operate is Grand Rapids Mi and west to Salt Lake City
StrawBunyan@reddit
I have a 4 day work week. I work for days and then immediately work 4 more. Then I do another 8 followed by 7 more.
easymachtdas@reddit
im sorry
dipdop18@reddit
Local governments. I work 4 10's and get nearly 3 weeks vacation.
Own_Clerk4772@reddit
Amazon freight partner wework mandatory three days a week. it depends on who you work for sometimes you can pick up a fourth and fifth day.
scottiethegoonie@reddit
Schneider Intermodal had a 4 day shift. Friday-Monday. It exists because those are unpopular days and hard to fill.
Baki007@reddit
Same with swift intermodal. Use to offer hourly as well.
K424n310F@reddit
Hey, how can I get in with swift intermodal? I’ve been calling driver placement for a year. It they say there’s nothing in Southern California. Is there someone else I should contact?
Phro_20@reddit
Four ten hour days here. Dump trucking for a construction company. Easy money. Longer weekend!
TruckinTuba@reddit
In n out, they also pay $39/hour
Cool_Thanks_4934@reddit
Amazon freight partners. Local stuff.
Then_Ice_696@reddit
Mon-Thurs no touch dry van 1 stop here. 7-5, 40-45 hrs with time and a half.
NakedAggression@reddit
Living the dream route
Appropriate_Gur_6642@reddit
Why people acting like this is impossible, 4-day work weeks are pretty common in food/beverage delivery.
freightliner_fever_@reddit
i do it hauling wood. mon-tues and thurs-fri. off wed and weekends. ~35 hours total on duty time on average.
No_Relationship_3077@reddit
Really? I haven’t seen any
OGharambekush@reddit
I work 4 days a week at Sysco. Have Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday off.
No_Relationship_3077@reddit
This is really blowing my mind but thank you for the name drop I have to look into this because 6 days are kinda killing me but the only thing is I can’t afford a pay cut
MikeLPause@reddit
That’s ridiculous. I can’t believe drivers haven’t fought for having at least 2 weekend days off in a row. At least a Friday.
OGharambekush@reddit
They do, I’m new so I’m stuck on mandatory Saturday’s. They up front about that in the interview as well. Takes about a year to 2 to get off them. Honestly though I don’t mind the two weekdays off though. First day back is a Monday and the next day is my Friday basically. Makes doing food service way easier.
Tutorele@reddit
If anything I would rather have two weekdays in one weekend day off myself tbh, a lot of businesses are only Monday through Friday, having more time to interact with the rest of society to get things I need done would be very convenient.
Different folks have different needs, and so different fights
Big-Permission1243@reddit
I work for one of the largest alcohol distributors in the PNW. We work 4 10s with the option to work our 5th for overtime and also have weekends off. Most of the alcohol distributors around us are pretty much the same.
Redsoxdragon@reddit
Because those are the exception, not the rule. As greedy as sysco like companies are, they're not stupid. They'd enforce a 5 day schedule if they thought their drivers wouldn't burn out and get hurt so quickly
Anachronism--@reddit
My good service job is 4 days and yes, it’s very physical.
RoseKlingel@reddit
Tell me more. 👀 Esp regarding strength/endurance recommendations.
Ecstatic-Eye-5766@reddit
Food delivery
oasuke@reddit
Food service, but those 4 days are going to feel like a week
LewHuss@reddit
Vantive health care 4/10s Monday through Friday weekend off. Class B
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
How’s is that a 4/10?
kang9400@reddit
Owner operator 😂
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Some of us want to spend our off time at home
Charlie_Hustler@reddit
Your looking for unicorn tbh bro lol
GiantEnemaCrab@reddit
Pepsi, coke, milk, and sometimes even food service all do 4 days. I did 4 days at milk, I currently do 4 days at Pepsi. A lot of local jobs are 4 days. Did you even look?
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
That’s the life
Feeling-Cap-7210@reddit (OP)
I only knew about Sysco besides amazon. I knew I could get quicker responses here.
GiantEnemaCrab@reddit
Go on Indeed and search "CDL A 4 days" and see what you can find. It really depends on where you live.
Charlie_Hustler@reddit
Lmao I tried Pepsi Coke and even Sysco when i first started. Best bet none of them offered 4 days and wanted me working 5 days instead lol. Maybe if your high up and have been there a while sure possibly but for someone just getting in. No lol
GiantEnemaCrab@reddit
I started at 4 days on each one lmao.
1morepl8@reddit
I only got 5 days in local food service because I came from transportation management at another food service gig. Everyone started 4 days.
Charlie_Hustler@reddit
Congrats im happy for you. Unfortunately not all of them are gonna offer the 4 day schedule and most are 5 days.
GiantEnemaCrab@reddit
This is wrong, I think you just stopped looking too quickly. Stop giving people absolute confident advice when I'm right here telling you it depends on the job / region.
easymachtdas@reddit
Is it difficult if youre willing to take the L financially? Like working a trash truck route or whatnot
Feeling-Cap-7210@reddit (OP)
Thought trash trucks get paid decent no?
Naborsx21@reddit
Meh, not really. Kinda the lower end of CDL jobs tbh
brokedasherboi@reddit
That depends. My local GFL is union and is at $39/hr with overtime after 8. Low cost of living area too. It's the highest paying CDL job within an hour drive of me
easymachtdas@reddit
Sounds kinda awesome
Naborsx21@reddit
Dang every place I've been garbage always paid pretty low. No unions gigs really anywhere I've lived though.
Last place I worked at was like $21/ hr and that was in a relatively nice area. Amazon pays roughly the same.
Feeling-Cap-7210@reddit (OP)
Guilty as charged bro 😂
drivermurph@reddit
I drive for a grocery chain that offers 4 and 5 day schedules (they split the 4 day so Sun/Tue/Wed off). Us foods and one of the milk distributors advertises 4 day schedules. That's without looking
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Food 4 less ?
tidyshark12@reddit
I team drive for estes. We get random amount of miles each week, only once got less than 5600 miles @ $0.93/mile rn between both of us. We leave out monday night and get home saturday morning or late friday night sometimes. So, about 4.5 days out usually. The way we have our schedule set up (each run 2-2) we can easily get 3 whole days off and not mess up our sleeping schedule too badly for weekends. I love it.
OrdinaryPitiful@reddit
Sysco
Pedialyte1221@reddit
Try jockey positions they are mostly 4 on / 4 off
Hexum311add@reddit
Werner has some PT positions out of some of their terminals
MikeV2@reddit
I work 4 days a week. I do cross border regional work so I always have to go back to Canada after delivering in the US. If you live near the border this could be an option.
digit4lmind@reddit
You can do 4/3 hauling cars with Carvana I’ve heard
East_Indication_7816@reddit
Just tell dispatch you are sick on Tuesday and need rest tomorrow . That’s 4 day work week
bealiobealio@reddit
US foods
chillary_shank@reddit
I do fuel and work 4 on 4 off! Take home about 1200/wk. The only issue is it cuts my overtime some weeks depending on how the week falls, as I’m OT after 40. Absolutely love it regardless.
nick_soccer10@reddit
A bunch of guys at my Sysco house are 4 days. They let you do what you want..4-5-6 days.
qaf0v4vc0lj6@reddit
Food service or some LTL jobs. I had one at Bunzl but then they started having people come in all the time on their third day off because they were “behind”.
I was in the process of going part-time and they cancelled by transition to part-time for the same reason but promised to send me part time “once they were caught up”.
drivermurph@reddit
So in other words...dangle the carrot?
qaf0v4vc0lj6@reddit
Yeah, that is why I left for a real part-time trucking job after 30 days past my deadline to go part-time.
Haven't looked back since.
PM_ME_UR_BIKINI@reddit
Propane bobtail here in the PNW is common to have 4x10 work weeks. Many put you on unemployment in the summer tho.
norseprincesspdx@reddit
They should all be 4 day..ive been looking and its not easy
Mysterious-Bug6183@reddit
DOT foods used to have the 4x4
DoctorZebra@reddit
My employer offers 4 day schedules - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. It's called the weekend warrior shift and they're paid $5/hr than the 5 day people because they get fewer hours.
It's hauling gas.
saintxsteezus@reddit
Dot foods transport has 4x4 6x3 and traditional otr! Ive heard nothing but good things about them. Put in an application myself.
MidLifeChanger@reddit
Let people know where you live or plan to live/move for one of these jobs. Otherwise you'll get generic suggestions at best.
Feeling-Cap-7210@reddit (OP)
NorCal
spec209@reddit
Amazon freight partners. 4 days. About 48 hours
DrillTheThirdHole@reddit
any food or beverage company in teamsters will have 4/10s
MidLifeChanger@reddit
If you're close enough to railyards, you may be able to get on to intermodal around Stockton. Just check companies around where you live as well and Craigslist for the areas and that might help. Good luck!
-Golf-Addict-@reddit
Food/Beverage. I did beer for 10 years at 4/10s. Now I have a drop and hook job at 5/8s and I feel like I am always working. lol
reallyred11@reddit
You can find 4 day weeks in all touch freight positions for the most part
doobersthetitan@reddit
Airgas does alot of 4x10s
meizhong@reddit
Find someone where you work (or here maybe) that wants to work 3 days a week. Then split the truck with them.
ID_Poobaru@reddit
More places especially local jobs should just post their schedules. I want to leave Amazon but I don’t really want to gamble with an outfit that runs 5/6 with full clocks
humpthedog@reddit
Kag with fuel hauling at some of their terminals
deafening_silence33@reddit
I just got hired on with them on their bulk division.
BackgroundDisaster43@reddit
Marvin keller and dot foods. Dot foods expects you to work your clock starting at all hours of the day.
