Rear end is out!

Took the rear end out of my '61 Studebaker Hawk. Time for a full bushing replacement on the shackles and leaf springs, pinion seals, and possibly swapping the tapered axles for some modern flanged axles.

You should consider swapping that old anchor out for a 90s GM rear axle with disk brakes, better gears, and posi-traction.
Super cheap and simple to do.
You can also get a driveshaft fabricated for like $200.

I'd love to eventually 4 link the rear, but not there yet. Studebaker used Dana 44s so its a good rear end, so not getting rid of that, and its already a limited slip from the factory.

Sweet.
The front brakes do most of the work anyway.
Definitely do the bearings and cylinders.

Yeah, already swapped to discs on the front
