Vintage Apple Mac SE box 1989

Dusty but otherwise in excellent condition. Is there are home for something like this with collectors or should I add it to recycling?

Yes very much so. Facebook marketplace might be easiest to find a local buyer if you dont want to deal with shipping. Lots of people including myself own a Mac SE and would love to have an original box to keep with it.

Curious, what would you do with it? It's a big box. My husband was thinking an enthusiast would maybe break it down and use it as wall art. I don't know, I just somehow thought somebody might want it!

I personally would keep it under the desk I have my Mac SE set up on so I can show others how these systems were originally sold and packaged. Tons of retro enthusiasts love to have complete systems with their original box and paperwork included. Empty boxes like this help complete that collection!

There is probably someone on eBay that might buy it but not many. Does it actually have the internal packing materials like styrofoam or is it just the outer shell of the box?

A restored one can sell more then the price of it new to the right buyer :) I've seen wild prices it's basically half seen by people as trash azz garbage and the half of the people see it as collectors antique and memoriablial. Depending on the demand in your area

If you ain't Opening it up and replacing the internals then don't bother this won't sell for squat because it may work but only one more power up or the next then boom white smoke no PC.
