Does this one qualify as a sandwich?

No lettuce this time, spinach, eggs, bacon, parm and mozzarella cheese, along with some spices.
Pucketz@reddit
Its a sandwich
Terrible_Reporter_98@reddit (OP)
Yeah it is
Fabulous_Clothes_726@reddit
Bread on 2 sides is a sandwich
Bread on 3 sides is a taco
androidwithamnesia@reddit
Where does that put the sub sandwich?
0_Moth@reddit
A sub is technically a taco according to the cubic rule of food.
MrJigglyBrown@reddit
Ah then this would also make a hot dog a taco, unless we consider the hot dog to have 0 sides as it is round.
A_Rats_Dick@reddit
A hotdog has an infinite amount of infinitely small sides- fight me.
0_Moth@reddit
The actual hot dog is acalzone, the act of putting it in a bun makes it a taco.
Again, pretty straight forward.
A_Rats_Dick@reddit
How could I have been so blind…
MrJigglyBrown@reddit
But in physics, an infinite amount of sides approaching length 0 would be equal to 0. So a hot dog has 0 sides
A_Rats_Dick@reddit
Well if we’re going to bring physics into this then I’ll have to say it doesn’t even have zero sides because it’s just part of a probability field.
Also sometimes you get hot dogs that are flat on one side.
0_Moth@reddit
Thank you for the physics lesson u/A_Rats_Dick
0_Moth@reddit
calzone
0_Moth@reddit
A hot dog is a taco yes. Case closed.
Ur-Quan_Lord_13@reddit
And a quesadilla is either a taco or a sandwich depending on whether it's 2 tortillas or folded.
0_Moth@reddit
If it’s two tortillas stacked on top of each other it’s a sandwich, if it’s a folded tortilla it’s a taco. Have y’all not seen the cubic rule of food before? It’s pretty simple and straightforward.
Redence_@reddit
"So a (insert food between two bread) is a san-"
Yes.
pook8989@reddit
This is life changing information, I just need to know about the 4 body problem. What if there is bread on 4 sides? Calzone?
LonnieJaw748@reddit
Calzone is all sides. Like a ravioli or an uncrustable or a burrito.
Wtf_lolz123@reddit
Well burrito can be argued sushi because of the structure.
0_Moth@reddit
You almost understood the assignment.
LonnieJaw748@reddit
Sushi has only 4 planes of starch. Calzone has 6 planes.
0_Moth@reddit
Sushi
Jononucleosis@reddit
What if the edge is twisted all fancy?
tony_important@reddit
Google believes a hotdog is a sandwich. Search your own Google photos (if you use the app) for the term sandwich and, if you've ever taken a pic of a hotdog, it will be in the results.
zaidakaid@reddit
Depends on who’s making it. Subway? Taco. Jimmy John’s? Sandwich. My three favorite sandwich shops? Hoagie (call it a sub and I’ll cut you)
0_Moth@reddit
A hoagie is a taco until the bread separates. Then its a sandwich.
zaidakaid@reddit
A hoagie is a hoagie, it’s its own thing. I will not elaborate further.
ImpressiveQuality363@reddit
Sub sandwiches are just tacos until you cut all the way through the bread I guess
0_Moth@reddit
Exactly. Youre getting it.
MatthewQ999@reddit
Is a hot dog a taco?
BasicSulfur@reddit
What about a hotdog brother
allekab@reddit
Or a pita!

How many sides does a circle have?
a_duck_in_past_life@reddit
What about hot dogs?
Jassaer@reddit
But some tacos are folder completely do theres tortilla on all sides
A_Rats_Dick@reddit
You mean Burrito Jr?
0_Moth@reddit
*calzone
0_Moth@reddit
that would make it a calzone
MyNameIsSkittles@reddit
Thats a burrito
Jassaer@reddit
Nah, burritos are something different entirely
27seconds@reddit
Bread in 3 sides could also be a hot dog.
dankyspank@reddit
Looks more like a gyro
iaminvincibke@reddit
Bread on top and bottom = sandwich
If I’m wrong please tell
PCE_DEADMEAT@reddit
Why is this in shitty food porn. I’d eat that every day. Maybe with added Cajun chicken.
MysticalSushi@reddit
You’re literally wrapping the bread around the contents. It’s a WRAP, not a sandwich
ObscureEnchantment@reddit
Is a hot dog a sandwich?
MysticalSushi@reddit
A hot dog bun doesn’t wrap around a dog. That’s like saying sub bread wraps around for a sub. Those are cuts.
ObscureEnchantment@reddit
But by your logic both those breads wrap around the filling. I can’t believe you down voted me and are taking this seriously lol.
MysticalSushi@reddit
Do you also believe a curve is also an angle on a mathematical graph ? Because they’re not the same. I’m downvoting you for being obtuse
ObscureEnchantment@reddit
Ok bro. I just woke up. Enjoy your day you sound like a great person to ruin a good time. Learn to take some teasing over an innocent thing.
MysticalSushi@reddit
I’m not angry bro. Maybe your projecting

Bread taco
Butterbackfisch@reddit
Gyros!
Rodrat@reddit
If it's on bread, it's a sandwich. Since open faces sandwiches exist, we don't even need a top piece of bread.
Pita, taco, pizza, I don't care. Just different sandwiches.
deliciousroadhead@reddit
Yes it's a sandwich. If we're calling uncrustables a sandwich then this is one too
Xorbek@reddit
That's a cannoli
hitman-13@reddit
That looks delicious...
YamiKokennin@reddit
taco. would be a sandwich if the bottom wasn't connected.
MasterCrumble1@reddit
It looks like pita bread, but you did it very incorrectly.
Terrible_Reporter_98@reddit (OP)
It's a flat greek style pita bread my guy.

Oh whoopsie. I'm just an uncultured swine in a cultured world. But that looks very delicious, and I will have one or two, thanks.
LonnieJaw748@reddit
Not by the Cube Rule of Food it doesn’t.
It’s a taco.

I don’t live in Indiana so that doesn’t apply to me.
Enjoy your breakfast taco.
fixer1987@reddit
Why would we care what an Indiana judge decided?
zoeisboredd@reddit
no it’s a taco
novian14@reddit
Are you the overflow salad yesterday?
Yeah i'd count this samewich since i'd also count taco as sandwich
Terrible_Reporter_98@reddit (OP)
That's me... I still think both of them are sandwiches though
plateau1999@reddit
Filling… bread that touches all sides of said filling… It’s a sandwich.
holley_deer@reddit
It's a taco and I'm pretty sure it's in the wrong sub because that shit looks amazing
_GD5_@reddit
A court ruled in Quintana v. Fort Wayne Plan Commission that tacos and burritos are "Mexican-style sandwiches." https://www.forbes.com/sites/instituteforjustice/2024/05/21/zoning-case-leads-judge-to-declare-a-taco-is-a-sandwich/
Terrible_Reporter_98@reddit (OP)
Vindicated at last
Danimaldodo@reddit
I call it a sandwich for sure.
WayOfTheNoob@reddit
Nor taco, nor sandwich. This is an open burrito.
littlebugonreddit@reddit
No sir, thats a taco
Guy3nder@reddit
I think that counts as pita abuse It should be opened
Terrible_Reporter_98@reddit (OP)
It's a flat greek pita, it has no pocket.
No-Acanthisitta8803@reddit
Yes, this is a sandwich IMHO. If it's some sort of bread with something else in or on it then it qualifies as a sandwich

My local med restaurant refers to gyros that don't have gyro specific meat as sandwiches, so yeah sure.
