Well, it'll stop running, or run terribly. I've serviced many diesels without a clear fuel bowl. Most modern ones have it. They also didn't have a pickup fuel pump. Some are such a pain to get the air out.

We had dyed fuel delivered to the farm. Shit was tan colored

Didn’t see anything but I wasn’t lookin either. I was running down the interstate when it happened can’t remember where but I remember it because I just learned about the red diesel on a YouTube video and then boom and fuel stop or 2 later middle of the night, and I see red as I pull out the nossle. I thought, that can’t be good. And kept it truckin

Yeah, you probably accidentally went in the "off road only" lane. It's very common in rural areas of the country since farmers use that stuff. It's the same fuel so not gonna do any damage to the truck or anything, it's just dyed red to indicate that it's tax exempt. Hefty fines cause it's considered tax evasion. So just don't get pulled in for an inspection until a few full fuel cycles.
