makes sense tbh AI demand blew up way faster than anyone expected, so now they’re just trying to catch up. 56B sounds massive, but new fabs take years to build and ramp plus it’s not just logic chips, i guess packaging and HBM are bottlenecks too, so even if wafers are ready, you still can’t ship enough that’s why they’re saying shortages through 2030, the whole supply chain is stretched not just TSMC

I mean these plans are well underway. The N3 fab in Arizona is complete and they're installing machines now to begin production next year. Construction of the N2 fab is also well underway.
