Should I risk voiding the warranty on this 2002 ASUS L3800?

Found it in the basement of my grandpa and want to change thermal paste. Should I risk it?
MWink64@reddit
I wouldn't just because I've broken too many things in the process of unnecessarily changing the thermal paste.

well it gets to over 50°C on the Desktop, that thermal paste is probably thermal powder nowadays...

Dude! You don’t want to break that seal!

Hey everyone! This was indeed a joke post. I do not believe that thing has any sort of warranty left. To be honest I once called Asus support with a question regarding the device and they didn't even have it in their database anymore.

Warranty on a 2002?
Mairon121@reddit
I doubt the warranty is still valid. It’s pushing a quarter of a century old?
