He's been waiting patiently, and I decided he was ready so we watched Farpoint tonight. He loved it and immediately wanted to watch them all. Put a great big smile on my face.

Such a goofy romp! Klingons in hats, yo.

Sirtis absolutely FEASTED in that episode. She looked like she was having so much fun.

Durango 😂 Not every actor gets to play a half Betazoid with a fondness for the Ancient West!

I used to be a three packs of data a day guy, now I’m down to A Fistful of Datas :-)

I know it's a cliché to say it, but personally I'd just ignore the first two seasons. Yes there's some decent stuff, but it's just not the same show yet, and can really spoil it for people who are expecting great things.

He's young enough that it doesn't matter, he'll love most of them. I'll just steer clear of the overly sexy ones and the ones that are so bad I don't want to see them myself.

I watched them through with my youngest when she was about 10-11, and she was the same. Even chose to be Tasha for Halloween because she had short blond hair, so my aunt made her a TNG jumper in gold.

That's great, my son is 10

Naked now and code of honor? 😬. I'm so glad the show survived. Woof. And last outpost? Goddamn

lol, I will be cherry picking episodes, he's only 10.

I love that he loved it! Starting from the beginning is a good move, in my opinion. There’ll be some clunky moments/episodes, but there are also some truly iconic aspects. At worst, it helps build the universe of the show :)

Yikes. I understand wanting to start him off in the beginning but I can never rewatch that episode 😂

Do yourself a favor and just skip to "Where No One Has Gone Before," it's the first really half-decent episode of the season.

I love Star Trek because I watched it all with my Dad. Highlight of my childhood. So glad you’re sharing it with your kid too!!
