If you track ownership of companies and wealth it's very clear the market is basically the illusion of choice.

If there was an option to drop out of society available people i think would take it. But currently it's a lot of investment to get going and learning as well if you don't know what to do.
The climate change is really ramping up and we're going to see people abandoning the built structure soon, especially when they see how the system cuts off any failed areas to fend for themselves.

Its called accelerationism its not a conspiracy its openly promoted by the worlds western ruling elite.
The view is pretty simple 1) collapse is happening and we cannot stop it. 2) the changes necessary to try to prevent collapse would be violently opposed by a large minority of the population. 3). the changes required would require progress meritocracy industrial capitalism, rule of law, and an end to mass surveillance kleptocracy rent seeking and the ability to be above the law.
Given that information the idea of accelerationism is if its going to collapse lets make sure it collapses in a way that benefits us, does not hurt us, hurts those who might be opposed to us or in our way.
Its basically the end of the world plus disaster capitalism.
